Tily's Cakes & Bakehouse — Restaurant in Melbourne

This is the worst cake shop I have ever been to. Recently Jan 2020 I purchased two Mini size Mud Cakes $30 for a Birthday celebration. When the cakes were served they were so stale it was almost impossible to slice them. It was so embarrassing and very disappointing, no-one finished their piece of cake and everyone agreed they were stale, hard as a rock without taste and disgusting to eat.

I complained civilly to the proprietor of the shop, but he had nothing to say and offered no apologies. I will not be back. I have been told since by others that they don't go there any more as they have also experienced stale cakes and and donuts...

Bought two ban mi's here today. Mayo was white and mostly yellow the patay paste was looking old like a blob. The lettuce was yellowing, Cucumber was shrinking due to how old it was. Carrot was in a bin with water and was used to cover the ban mi after everything else. Nothing was fresh for such a simple sandwich. I used to work in fast food for 4 years the veges were not fresh and not safe to eat. Ate half and started feeling unwell. Pork was bland and cold. I wouldn't have bought them but I had paid prior to the ingredients coming out of the fridge. I...

Went in to ask for a fresh potato family pie, the young girl went in the refrigerated room to grab the one I was looking at, the boss walked in the room not long after. The young girl walked out and walked into another refrigerated area and grabbed my pie, I got home to cook for our guests not knowing it was FROZEN, over an hour and it’s still cold in the middle. I could have went to IGA and brought a frozen pie for a third of the price. After the last owner I felt that the place had gone down hill.... I will never buy from there again.......
