I absolutely love going to plant based restaurants and Vegie Mum really impressed me with the quality of mock meats served, was innovative and the textures and flavours were amazing. We were welcomed by Steven, who was very bubbly, energetic and friendly. We ordered what he recommended and loved it all. We got the- ▪️Black olive pickle and minced pork with stewed silky tofu $25 ▪️Salt and Pepper Whole Crispy Fish $30 ▪️Asparagus and scallops $28 ▪️Shanghai Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs $22 ▪️Also tried the Carbonara flavour and Sichuan peppercorn flavour ▪️Soy Milk $4 I would highly recommend that “minced pork” with tofu- the tofu was so silky, the black olive pickle was mouth-wateringly flavourful, complements well with the rice and was so warming and comforting. The whole crispy “fish” was also so flavourful and fragrant and would also recommend ordering this. The bean curd skin and seaweed gave a nice texture and really soaked up the flavour of the tangy sauce. The mock meats in all the dishes hit the nail on the head, cooked to perfection and all shone in their own special way in their respective dishes which punched bags of flavour. The “spare ribs” with the bamboo sticks was such a creative idea, the texture was nice and so addictive. The asparagus and “scallops” was a more safer choice, more clean and light with just mushrooms and veggies, but also very delicious. They have an extensive menu full of different plant based goodies so would definitely be back to try more of what they have to offer.

Same experience as “Chrissy H” this is in relation to the very expensive under served Roti portion, please don’t order it as you will be very disappointed after spending $9. The food was good from far distance and terrible to taste, the pineapple was past its due date leaving that acid taste in my mouth. I tried first to reach out but no email address, so I moved on to a phone call, then I was starting to think I should’ve learnt Chinese at school, this would have helped me in a Chinese speaking country like Australia, from there I could of given supportive criticism, the least I could say I tried before posting this on google. Strongly suggest not ordering Roti and sweat and sour pork, I will let you decide if you take that chance with other menu item. Good luck! I won’t be ordering again from this premises. Marcus

Was recommended by my brother to try this place out. We ended up going with 3 people and couldn't finish even 3 dishes (the waiter did say it was quite large portions). Great flavours, the highly recommended tofu was superb, you could down a bucket of rice with just that one dish. We ordered the Fish, Special Tofu and a beef dish all of the items were off a different menu and was recommended to try as it was our first time there. Honestly the food was great and portions were great. Its good to find a family friendly yet good vegan restaurant. We ended up eating the leftovers for lunch the next morning. So two meals for the price of one, I'd take that any day. Would visit this place again for a family event. MBH

We dined in with my 4 sons and my 14yo remarked on how hospitable the host was. My 7yo said he was in a trance with how delicious the food was. Staff complimented my kids on being well behaved and gave them a treat. It was nice to have that level of service and to also have your behaviour acknowledged as eating out with children can be so stressful sometimes. There are always lovely large families happily dining in this establishment and it's perfect for ordering the meals for the middle of the table to share. Even my picky 5yo loved the mushrooms and "chicken" from the hotpot as well as the honey chicken. The food is amazing and the host was careful to explain to us which meals would suit our dietary requirements. The communication is very good. The price is fantastic for such lovely vegan meals and it cost half of what it would cost for us to dine at a large chain such as okami or even comparable to if we get something like pizza, but so much more special. We love it here. We only wish we lived closer. No photos as we like to keep mealtimes sacred and focus on the food and family but believe me- you won't be disappointed. Black pepper beef and their special rice...

Another 2019 visit and again too oily - please include some oil free options on the menu! Food eaten in our most recent 2020 visit had lower oil levels (after directly requesting less oil when placing the order) so it's great that Mum listens! Unfortunately we again forgot to enquire about the level of spiciness and ended up not being able to finish the main dish again due to the fierce spices. It is a pity that the menu doesn't have more information (including photos). Or if it's not possible to give more information in the menus, then orders taken by staff should include careful questioning of customers about preferences for: spiciness, oiliness, inclusion of egg (some dishes have egg despite this being a vegan restaurant), salt and sauces (some dishes are so salty and/or sauce heavy that it is difficult to taste the ingredients!). We do however keep coming back as we like to support a business that is offering an...
