WokKing — Restaurant in Melbourne

Located in the little town centre of Cairnlea, Wokking is a small family-owned restaurant that serves your typical suburban favourites: fresh out-the-oven rotisserie chicken, Spanish chicken, hot chips, and takeaway Asian dishes. However, what sets them apart from others is their highly consistent food quality and service. The moment you step in the door and the chime rings, you're greeted with friendly smiles; you're treated almost as if you're family. They ensure every part of your order is to your desire, and once they begin preparing your food, you see the gears kick in and the fresh produce kept cool behind the refrigerated glass display, transformed into a work of art. I frequent the satay stir-fry for takeaway, and seeing the maestro at work, tossing the ingredients in the wok, and seeing them dance among the flames had made my mouth nothing but salivate. Once they're done, it's placed into a small bowl, bagged up, and handed to you with a smile. Their casual yet warm demeanour diverts your attention away from the perfectly crafted meal in your hands. The moment you sink your teeth into the food, an explosion of flavours hits you, the spicy satay sauce, together with the sweet veggies and savoury meats. Sure, it may not be unique in composition compared to other Asian takeaway restaurants, but something about the WokKing touch just absolutely blows you away.

We want to extend a massive thank you to the amazing owner, his wife & team at WokKing who catererd for our father/grandfather's birthday this evening. We ordered 3x Large trays which consisted of Beef Black Bean, Chicken Curry & Chilli Seafood. From the very beginning the owner was accommodating & was willing to assist us as we live in Cairns. He even insisted on getting a card & writing a message from all of us which we thought was just wonderful. The meal was also delivered & the result from my family was the dishes were absolutely delicious!! Decided to go here for dinner on the way home and it was one of the best decisions ever! Customer service was 5 star+ and the food was absolutely delicious. My combination stir fry udon noodles with oyster sauce was extremely good and very satisfying without being over filling.

My husband had the curry laksa combination. It had the right amount of spiciness for a curry laksa, the noodles absorbed the soup nicely without completely draining it and the tofu soaked up the soup so well, it became a flavour bomb in your mouth.
