Poor quality and poor value here. I was saddened by the tourist-trap prices I could see on the menu, but I thought "well if a roll is $8 it will be good". At first I thought my chicken was the wrong meat as it didn't taste much like chicken and lacked the texture- looking closer it was all the grissly fatty cuts of chicken leftover, big white strips of fat with some little bits of chicken meat on it. The cheese was just supermarket brand slices and there was a thick layer of butter to distract from how bland the roll was. It was just soft white bread from the supermarket (I would have hoped they baked their own rolls for that price). Partner had a pie (curry, it was ok but was $5). Serving girls were nice. Place was very packed at lunch and a tad dirty but I'll cut some slack for that as it is...
Read moreI won't eat there again. My plain pie was really salty and my cappuccino was weak and devoid of chocolate topping. While I was eating, l observed the sandwiches and rolls being made. An older lady with black wavy hair was popping bits of the food in her mouth as she made someone's roll. A young girl around 15 wiped her nose on the back of her hand several times while she was assisting. There was a plastic tub of Vegemite nearby which was dirty and disgusting. No point at all in staff wearing gloves. Needless to say l didn't finish my lunch. I would suggest rearranging your seating so customers can't view the prep area, as this wasn't nice...
Read moreStopped here as our first port of call on a holiday. It was recommended by a friend who told us they had great pies. I'm not sure if we are still friends, or they were just having a laugh. Ordered 2 steak and pepper pies. They were saltier than the Tasman sea, and nearly inedible. They were obviously cheap supermarket pies, heated up in the microwave, giving them that soggy, fall apart texture. Was charged $7.50 for each pie, giving them the world record for most expensive and last edible at the same time. Having the word bakery in their name does not make them an...
