The Star hotel was quite during a midday visit. There was a bar at the front. At the back was an open area with large TV. There are water glimpses. The best bit was the cool afternoon breeze from the open balcony. There were a couple of local people. There Isa Thai restaurant, that didn't appear to be open at 3pm. A large carport out the back. Chips sold at the bar. There is also vending machines for chocolate and chips. There is a jukebox, $1 for two song and $2 for 5 songs. Toilets were clean. There is also an ATM. Staff were doing their job, but not going out of their way to be chatty or create an experience.

What a shame to scare off locals with that kind of attitude. I wonder if the owner or manager knows how their staff are treating paying customers during a very not busy time. Very...

Was a very friendly greeting at the front door on the plus side. Standard alcohol offering, but seriously this place should have the monopoly in town for great pub food but nope it's Chinese (seems ok) or quasi Thai (attempted Thai). Pad Thai was a poor approximation at $22 (king prawns). Would drink here again but never...
