Zio's Stone Oven Pizzeria — Restaurant in Morwell

Pizza Snob here, travelling for work. Tuesday night, ordering one with the Lot. Can't fault it. Beautiful, crispy (and Smokey) base, with a soft crust. The surprise point for me was seeing full bacon pieces (not the strips), these are full blown cuts like you'd buy at the deli. Salami are whole pieces too. The Ham is basically long processed strips, but not the standard el cheapo fatty ones, these ones are (for once), bloody decent. Olives are the standard sliced tin black olives, but they work well with these toppings, sharp taste, and not full of soggy juice, like Kalamatas (which I prefer anyway). Staff are super friendly, from the initial phone call, to pick up. P.S. Cash is King (you might just get a discount 🙂👍)

Edit: Day Two: Back for more (wish I could give ten stars). Ordered a tailor-made this time, Onion, Bacon, Salami, Olives, Anchovies, Chilli, Garlic & Tzatziki. Just Wow! Beautiful crispy base (see photos), and amazing flavour. Like I said, I'm a total pizza snob (worked for Dial-a-Dinos in the 80's, and advanced from there). A Hidden Gem for Pizza Lovers! 🍕

Stumbled upon this amazing little pizza place recently and I’m so glad I did! They do stone-baked pizzas that are absolutely delicious crispy crust, fresh toppings, and that perfect smoky flavor you only get from a proper stone bake. You can tell they put real care.

What really sets them apart though is the customer service. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and greet you with a big smile which means a lot. It’s rare to find a spot where you feel like a valued guest every time you walk in.

And the prices? Surprisingly affordable for the quality you get. Great food, great vibes, and great value what more could you ask for?
