Bahn Kubo Restaurant — Restaurant in Mount Gambier

I really cannot give a significant star rating as upon arrival, we were greeted with a woman telling us to sit in the corner of the restaurant. We had made a booking but we were not allowed the larger table. There was not one soul there! As I hesitantly began for the kids table against the wall, she saw my water bottle and stated I wasn't permitted to bring it into the empty restaurant. I expressed it was only my water. She said we had to drink her water. I retracted my steps and opened the door to leave when my son asked her if it was because we were forced to buy their water? She responded "no, it's for free!" We left and could no longer contain ourselves as we burst into laughter! My son said "was that a cartoon or did it really happen!?". So senseles we haven't laughed so much in a long time! Thankyou! I would like this opportunity to Thank this little Gem for the awesome Hospitality, The Kai (Food) was spectacular, Food was fresh, with clean, sharp flavours that warms the Pallet from what I ordered, The wholesome welcoming feeling from the front of house staff to the clean well maintained building was a really nice touch. I've live in Australia nearly 7 years looking always for nice food, myself also used to cook for a living, so i know and love food. I must say, This restaurant is the best of best, i cried on their food, there is no word enough for what i experienced at this little place in an unknown countryside. Mt Gambier people must know they are the happiest in the world with this restaurant. It was my great pleasure that i found this place on my way of traveling across Australia. I still think about their food often, there is no doubt their food is incredible, i swear i would've gone to this place every single day if i lived there

Please everyone should try, their food made me cry, i literally "CRIED" walking out of the restaurant. I sincerely hope that i can visit this place.
