FACT Takeaway — Restaurant in Mount Gambier

I recently placed an order via Uber Eats from this establishment, order placed at 6:42 PM and arriving at 7:38 PM. While I appreciate the convenience of delivery, I was disappointed with several aspects of my experience. Firstly, two items were missing from my order: a 1.25L bottle of Coke (costing $6.40) and an order of chips (costing $11.45). Additionally, the food arrived lukewarm at best. The butterfish, which I ordered crumbed, had its batter stuck to the packaging.

Upon contacting the store to inquire about the missing items, the individual who answered was not particularly helpful. While he did agree to refund the cost of the missing Coke and chips, he insisted that the order was hot when it left the store, despite our location being only a 4-minute drive away. This discrepancy raises concerns about either the accuracy of that statement or the quality of the Uber Eats delivery service.

For a total order cost of $75.60, this experience was extremely disappointing. The original owners of this establishment had a reputation for excellence, but unfortunately, this order did not meet those standards. Still searching for just one takeaway shop that has great burgers and F & C's. Chips were great. Plain hamburger was disappointing, the meat patty seems to be padded out with filler and hardly any meat. This is how a basic meat patty should be made - 100% beef mince, onion, herbs, breadcrumbs & egg they aren't hard to make and freeze well. Shouldn't a default plain hamburger be - meat patty, onion, lettuce, tomato, beetroot & sauce at a minimum? All I got was disappointing meat patty, lettuce, shredded cheese?, sauce & tomato. (shredded cheese mostly just fell straight out-use a slice of cheese!) & bun was stale. Steak Sandwich with the lot - passable. Passing through on holiday and couldn't help but stop as I could see all the locals running in and out and thought this place must be good. Definitely wasn't wrong ordered a mains take away snag pack and was very surprised, right away with just how much you get. Awesome value for money. I chose the with veggies option and they were fantastic was not expecting to get such variety jammed in. Food overall was just perfect.
