Sunday dinner in Murray Bridge Bombay Beat 55 Bridge St, Murray Bridge, SA.
Location: Parked right outside the restaurant on a Sunday night.
Service: Quick & attentive.
Decor: Nice tables with comfy chairs and table clothes…!!! Good size front dining space, great looking bar, and a similar sized rear dining space.
Atmosphere: Busy with the front section of the restaurant almost full. The bar creates a focus point & is a great addition to this space.
Bathrooms: Clean & tidy.
Value for money: Very well priced with mains from $15.50 to $23.90.
Drinks: Great selection of drinks and cocktails.
Food: We had the Malai Kofta, Kadai Paneer, Prawn Malai, Raita, Rice & Cheese & Garlic Naan and the Carrot & Condensed Milk Pudding from the specials board. We loved the veggie dishes (Malai Kofta & Kadai Paneer) as they had so much flavour. The prawn dish was underwhelming BUT when we had it the next day it was fabulous..!! Maybe just needed a bit more time. The carrot dessert was not great to be honest, and this was due to our understanding of what we were getting. We heard pudding and expected pudding, but this traditional dessert is not made like a pudding, but instead the carrot is cooked in the condensed milk & softened/cooked like that. The Raita was excellent with a fabulous creamy texture. We had the garlic & cheese naan with dinner but ordered some plain garlic naan to take away with our leftover rice, prawns & Raita. All of these were so nice the next day. It was a great shared snack.
Synopsis: A good surprise in Murray Bridge. Well worth a try and they cater to your hotness...
Read moreNormally a great place with exceptional food and service but last night, being Valentines Day, they were grossly underprepared. Reservation made but no table reserved. No table service and had to wait in line to order food and drinks. Food came out relatively quickly and was good however cocktails took another 20 minutes after that to be served. My cocktail which included milk and ice cream sat in the blender for a good 15 minutes while staff served other people and took calls. It was then blended again before being served which came curdled in a messy glass. It was disgusting. My partners cocktail then came another 5-10 minutes after that and of course we had eaten our food by that point. I would not recommend going here on a special occasion as they are not equipped for busy nights and can’t offer the same level of service and quality that one would expect...
