The Mustard Seed - Murray Bridge — Restaurant in Murray Bridge

I'm a massive fan of the Hahndorf restaurant so super excited that The Mustard Seed opened in Murray Bridge however on my first experience I called up and booked as unable to book online. Table booked. Later saw on their Facebook page that they ran out of food. No phone call, lucky I saw it online. Decided to try again. Went for dinner and was served by a young girl who didn't seem to know anything on the menu. We asked if she was new and she said she came out of the kitchen to help. Found it strange she wasn't aware of the menu. For starters we had tequila prawns and arancini. The prawns were good just too much pita bread. The arancini were average and it was like mashed potato not risotto. For mains we had the steak and the salmon. Steak cooked well but not rested long enough and blood was everywhere. Serving board way too large. Salmon was ok however the salsa was very salty and there was a heap of oil on the bottom of the plate making some of the salmon inedible. Hard to get a second drink also. Our waitress and another clearly didnt want to be there. Very over priced meals, wine list abysmal and also over priced, service average apart from one lady (owner maybe?) who was very lovely. I don't know if I'll come back but if I do I'll stick to Indian food or the Hahndorf one. Such a shame there's another disappointing...

First time be and my partner got to go out in a while as we just had a baby and it was such a PERFECT DATE Our waitress was amazing her name is Jess she was so polite very kind and friendly even was super patient while we were stil deciding the place was very nice clean such an amazing atmosphere will be going back for sure and the prices are even really good for what you get to food was AMAZING we left feeling super full and super happy so if you haven’t checked it out already I would do so and if you can get Jess as your waitress that’s a bonus cause she is truly amazing at her job and just makes you feel super welcome Well done mustard seed you for sure...

What could I possibly say?? Very distressing scenes today that left a sour taste in my mouth after tasting amazing tasting food. While eating out here during lunch with some friends I witnessed what could only be described as appalling. I watched as what I believed a high manager at this establishment verbally abuse and belittle the staff regarding something that alot of people including the person it involved irrelevant and wasnt necessary. This was a extremely distressing view to see as all the wait staff do an amazing job. Safe to say this has definitely made me double think coming in to eat,, as the food and wait staff is always amazing. Hope the wait...
