Went here for a brunch with my husband, his friend and daughter. We called in an hour before we arrived to secure a table outside, lady on the phone was very nice. When we arrived, we were greeted by a young man. He handed us menu and was a bit stuttering. He couldn't tell us what's on the menu and couldn't suggest which one customers often order. He looked like he's new and was in a hurry to leave so he won't answer us, poor guy. Didn't offer us any glass of water, served our meals one at a time, forgot the drinks and milkshake we ordered twice. Hope he had some break from serving he looked confused. The fries we ordered from the menu included aoli but it was served without one. When we went to the counter to ask for it we were told we couldn't have it because it wasn't initially ordered with it. Like how difficult was it to just give it to the customer. Burger was lovely, fries tasted nice and quite a big portion good for 2. I had the deep fried squid with salad, it was 7 out of 10. Perhaps change the vinaigrette as it tasted a bit bitter and the noodles was cooked halfway. The squid was wonderful, salad with noodles not so much. I asked if they served eggs benedict and the young male staff couldn't tell. I used to come here with my husband for the eggs benedict :( Love the outdoor vibe, had access to water for our friend's dog, thank you for this. Overall I'm still glad we came and was able to treat our guests. We drove from Coopernook all the eay to Nabiac for the outdoor brunch. Some improvements to work on from this visit. Hoping to come...
Read moreQuality of service has rapidly declined. To start, we sat down but no table service as it use to be so we then had to order at counter.
I orded the corn fritters and instead of bacon I wanted smoked salmon I was charged more for the salmon which I never use to be as it is a replacement. I also asked for a pot of black tea with a heap of sugar. I received the tea bottle with 3 sugars, not enough. The corn fritters were so doughy and tasted terrible; which they never use to.
The salmon was not good quality; it was tough and didn't seem fresh.
Had to ask for table water and staff didn't appear happy to be here. I left hungry and couldn't finish my meal.
I use to frequent once a week before coronavirus, now I think I won't...
Read moreThe negative reviews seem to be harshly defended from the owner which may be intimidating to want to write a review but this is based on personal experience. We came here as it had a very high rating with almost a thousand reviews however our experience was quite disappointing. We ordered around 8:30am and although they mentioned they are behind on their orders, it's ridiculous that it took an hour for us to receive our food, by the time our food arrived, we already drank our hot drinks. $15 for a basic toasted sandwich. We asked for rye bread but got white bread instead. The restroom is quite interesting. One room, 2 toilets for female and 1 toilet for men with shared common area. Overall experience was a little...
