I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the consistently poor service and food quality at the McDonald's located in Naracoorte. My experience today was the tipping point, and after multiple unsatisfactory visits, I feel it is necessary to make my concerns known in writing.
Today, I ordered chips and chicken nuggets from your store, only to receive food that was clearly stale. The chips were cold, dry, and rubbery — definitely not fresh — and the nuggets had a chewy, old texture that made them inedible. I returned to the counter to request fresh replacements, bringing with me the two lots of stale chips to show staff the poor quality. Instead of receiving two new portions of chips, I was given only one replacement serve. This is completely unacceptable. If I return two portions of stale food, I expect two fresh replacements, not one. It’s basic customer service.
What makes this situation even more frustrating is that this is far from an isolated incident. The last six times I’ve visited the Naracoorte McDonald's, my order has been wrong in one way or another — ranging from missing items, such as chips and drinks, to incorrectly made burgers and, again, stale food. That’s six separate occasions where I have paid for a service that has not been properly delivered. How is this acceptable from a global fast food chain that promotes consistency and quality?
Each time I visit, I have to wait far longer than necessary, often just to receive substandard food or have to return to the counter for items that were left out or poorly made. It’s not just frustrating — it’s exhausting and a complete waste of time and money. I understand that mistakes can happen occasionally, but the frequency of these issues at your Naracoorte location suggests a much deeper problem, either with staff training, kitchen procedures, or quality control.
Customers expect a basic standard of service and quality when they come to McDonald’s, and this location is consistently failing to meet even those minimum expectations. I should not have to inspect my food every time I order or worry about whether I’ll actually receive what I paid for. I’m am...
Read moreI will never be back along with about 5 other people who walked out behind us. Crew member took our order and gave us a receipt and a table number, told us they bring food out to the table so we went and sat outside. 15 minutes went past still no order so went inside to check and found our food tray sitting on the counter. When asked why our food wasn't brought out crew member said they forgot. Took food outside, discovered they had forgotten one drink and one serve of fries. Went in again, no apology from staff but got missing food with fries spilt out of cup on tray by staff member. Went outside to eat and the next 2 parties who walked outside all complained about their meal. Saw multiple people walk back in from the drive thru with their food with messed up orders. Wife went in to order extra fries, all staff were suddenly extra busy cleaning while she waited. Wife complained about service and told 'they were short staffed' yet three crew cleaning...
Read moreI’ve lived in Naracoorte for quite a while now and I’ve never seen a business go so downhill from when it started. The food used to be good and taste fresh but now the food tastes like it’s been sitting in a fridge for over a week. I’m quite disappointed on how most of the machines are “not working” in this place most of the time I come in. The staff are nice and helpful but whoever sorts the staff out for counter and kitchen are shocking. I’ve seen customers sit at the counter for over 10 minutes and no one’s gone to help them. I’ve seen customers walk out because they’ve been sitting there for so long. THIS PLACE NEEDS A LOT OF WORK. Sincerely from an unsatisfied customer.
Today on the 28th of jan I ordered a large chips and I got them ice cold. 😐 is this place becoming a joke or do the workers just not care. I am utterly disgusted.
Apparently people don’t know how to put food...
