Active Diner Medowie — Restaurant in New South Wales

Brilliant experience. Being celiac, and lactose intolerant, going anywhere is often difficult and problematic. At Active Diner I was welcomed and not looked at like an inconvenience, when I try to be anything but. One of the senior staff members assisted me with ordering, oversaw my food being made, and spent a reasonable length of time explaining all sorts of things to me, with nothing but care and compassion. This staff member also urged me to check in after to make sure I was okay, just so they know their celiac processes are still up to standard. So here I am in a way following up. The food was amazing, the taste was sensational and the service was something so rarely seen nowadays. The best thing too, I am not sick which is such a great feeling after eating out anywhere.

I did an order for takeaway for a work lunch and everything was divine. Everyone said it was the best work lunch we'd had. The staff were very friendly and my large order was ready just minutes after I arrived. We'll have to order more now, so we can try everything. I had the Southern Fried Chicken Burger and it was beyond. The chicken was crunchie on the outside and so juicy and succulent on the inside. The shoestring fries were perfectly cooked too. Great prices for what you get. I was so full I didn't eat again for over 24 hours! Just delicious, easy parking, easy online ordering, great staff, quick pick up. I'll be heading...

Dine in. Ordered meals and drinks at 18:07 via app. First drink of 3 came out at 18:40. 2nd drink at 18:45. Food finally arrived at 18:55 and the 3rd drink hadn't arrived yet (cup of tea).

Despite the owners description, this place felt and looked nothing like an American diner. Because at an actual American diner, you get service and aren't waiting forever for your order to show up.

The food was nice enough and the thickshakes are good value, but other than that, I wouldn't return. There are better options nearby. Investing in some experienced wait staff would help this...
