Warning! RAW fish served here! Absolutely atrocious!

Our family of 4 with 2 kids aged 7 & 10 came here for dinner on December 29th 2018. After reading some good reviews we were looking forward to a nice meal after a long day driving.

Unfortunately our experience was nothing more than abysmal!

I had the “signature” burger, which was edible at best, but to be honest dry and lacked taste. A 2/10 would be the best score I could offer.

But then my wife’s fish (Barramundi) was NOT edible, not only was the meant-to-be crispy fish soggy, but when cut through the middle we found it to be completely RAW! Unbelievable!

And then to top it all of, our Son said “my fish is cold”! Yes, we both double checked, and his “Fish & Chips” from the kids menu was completely cold on the inside of the batter! Absolutely disgraceful. We are hoping now that he doesn’t get food poisoning!

After discovering these disastrous faults we simply walked out - which is the 1st time in our lives we have ever done so!

In summary 0/10,...

I was about to take a star off because they don't let you take away the dessert. We're very happy with the dinner, but also satisfied, and we wanted to try the dessert, so we would like to take the dessert back with us and they informed this is not allowed. 😓

That's a shame.

Everything else was great. The Rib Eye was to my liking and a medium rare is medium rare. The Specials that day included a Beef Cheek with Mash that was delightful, and we shared a Creamy Garlic Prawns starter but as side dish. They should gang both the Rib Eye with the Prawns and make a Creamy Surf'N'Turf.

Definitely a great option when down the coast and right next to the road, any direction you'd be heading to.

Food was so good, unfortunately they were clearly short staffed so our food did take an hour to come out however it was sooo worth the wait because it was incredible. Staff were friendly and clearly doing their best. Only comment was the serving of warm olives were pretty small for the price, I was expecting a larger size.

The beef medallion was perfectly cooked and a really large serving, comes with mash and veg which was also perfectly cooked and flavourful. Definitely a bargain price for the size and quality.

We walked past the kitchen and saw there was only one chef on, so considering that, he did an impressive job and I would recommend to others/come again next time...
