Wanted a quiet location and this was 'dead quiet' Lots of cars and vans but I saw no one the whole two nights I was there. There is no view. Its basically someone oversized back yard with tired hills hoists. Its like stepping back into time with the old concrete wash tubs. The dump point is a home made concrete pit that drains into the normal sewer and the lid doesnt stay up so you need to either use your head (yuk) or have two people doing this job. The showers and toilets are tired but clean. The ground was level. Taps on the sites leaked where I was staying. There is no security. Driveways are open all the time. Location is great. Just around the corner about 50m away is a bigger better looking caravan site....had I seen that one, I would have stayed there, I just didnt drive around the corner! Still, I like to give family run businesses my money first. No one in the office but Kelly was very helpful as she is looking after the place at the moment. She came out straight away to help me. $45 per night for powered site. Its ok for BBay. There were a lot of...
Read moreWe loved stayed at Rio Rita Caaravan Park. We usually choose to stay at Big 4 / Ingenia , but this time we booked Rio Rita. We completely enjoyed the stay. It is a medium sized caravan park, perfect location , just cross the road for a beautiful beach , 5 mins walk to IGA , 4 mins drive to woollies , Coles , Kmart and other shops and restaurants , don’t miss the 5 mins walk to Eastern facing beach opposite to IGA for a splendid sunrise . The caravan park is very safe , a lovely camp kitchen and bathroom and toilets were very clean and well maintained. There were 3 bathrooms and 3 toilets , I thought they would be busy always , but it was always available and clean. The people were friendly and lovely at Batemans Bay. Overall , had an amazing experience. Turned out to be a great experience- Don’t judge a book by its cover .
Recommendations- would be nice if the kitchen and fridge could be maintained...
Read moreLoved our one night stopover at this caravan park. We choose an unpowered site as we are self contained and also didn’t use the ammenities. |It was dog friendly and so suitable for our little cavalier. |We had ample room with a lovely grassy site in the shade. A bonus was the lovely beach across the road only a minutes walk away. It was so quiet and we had no noise at all. The front of the park had permanent residents but the back grassy area was ideal for us and the price was cheaper than the Big4 caravan park next door that didn’t allow pets. Also next door vans were packed in like sardines. |We will stay here again for sure and recommend to others...
