Driftwood — Restaurant in New South Wales

Did we go on a bad night? Our experience at this restaurant seems quite different to others. The menu was very ordinary and quite limited, and frankly, the food just wasn't anything special. The venue was also full and so noisy we could barely hear one another's conversation across the table. We shared a ride home with another couple who echoed our opinion of both the food and the venue. Driftwood I spent seven beautiful days with friends on Lord Howe island and Driftwood was our number one restaurant that we could recommend. Driftwood is located at the Ocean view villas about a 5 minute bike ride from the center of town. The restaurant decor is very laid back and simple but the food and staff were outstanding. I highly recommend the Bugs and King Fish in Broth - the flavours were so deliscious. We finished the night at the resorts Games room playing ping ping with other guests that we will be friends with for years. I highly recommend Driftwood to anyone visiting this...

Had a 12 hour cooked brisket served Asian style that was absolutely fantastic. On par if not better than the fish dish I had at Anchorage. The kind of dish you would get in a big international city at a high end restaurant. Still confused why anybody would go to Coral Cafe, which was terrible.
