Very disappointed with my grilled kingfisher dinner here tonight, especially after having such a *fantastic* fish dinner at Anchorage the night before, and they both charge the same kind of prices. Not to mention, I could also order a cocktail at Anchorage, but could not do so here. Presentation looked fantastic, but fish was overcooked and rubbery and nothing on the plate seemed to have been seasoned, even with salt. It was a nice mix of items, cauliflower, green beans, carrot and potato, with a beet purée and some sort of aïoli. But it was astonishing just how flavorless the whole plate was and I had to salt and pepper it like crazy to even almost eat it. Also, they charge for Wi-Fi there whereas it was free at Anchorage. But the Canadian woman working at the Cafe was lovely and made me smile :)

Best dinner we had on Lord Howe. Friendly helpful staff and delicious Asian and seafood inspired dishes. Make sure you save room for dessert. Licensed.

Delicious coffee and chai lattes, friendly and helpful staff, the dinner was fantastic - we got king fish and prawn and chilli linguine 👌🏼😋

Coral Cafe is located in the museum and is only open for dinner a couple of nights a week and limited hours during the day. It’s worth noting the opening hours and booking for dinner. The staff here are fantastic—very friendly, engaging and helpful. The food has Thai and Asian influences and is beautifully spiced and simply delicious. They have a good selection of specials on the menu for dinner and one or two for lunch. Kids will love the milkshakes (and the coffee is great for the adults)! Prices are much cheaper than many other eateries on the island (eg The Anchorage). It’s worth popping-in here early for lunch and visiting the museum. (When we visited, the museum hours were 0900-1300.) The room to the left of the entrance focuses on natural environment and to the right, island history. You can pick-up free guides to the island here (details on hiking trails) as well as fish identification cards to take diving/snorkelling (around $10 each I believe). They also detail weather for the day on a blackboard just...

Everything about this Cafe/ restaurant is exceptional. We dined there one night, but also called in for coffees or lunch on a number of occasions. Delicious, fresh, well prepared and presented dishes. Staff are delightful, location amazing and the outdoor seating promotes friendly, cross table conversations. Definitely go there for dinner if you possibly can! Lunch menu is also great and food delicious, as is their coffee (best on the...
