I'm on a circa 4000km road trip across the Eastern seaboard of the country, travelling via the VIC/NSW coasts from my home in Central VIC - so I'm a long way away from home!

I've found myself in the region and had stopped in for breakfast here at Flow Bar in Old Bar.

The atmosphere here is absolutely amazing and the alfresco dining area is fantastic, there's such a great vibe at this cafe.

Front of house staff are absolutely on point, got me a menu and invited me to sit down quickly.

The food came out quickly and it was absolutely fantastic, I had ordered poached eggs on toast with smoked bacon, it's on par with the cafes in Melbourne, but without the Melbourne price tag, I really enjoyed my meal. The team here are really doing it right.

Everything was perfect, I recommend anyone in the region who loves sitting down to enjoy a meal to make a stop by Old Bar, specifically to try the food at this cafe and enjoy their alfresco dining setting.

Keep up the great work guys, compliments to the front of house staff and the chef(s), I hope to be back again next time I find myself in this beautiful part of...

Nice food and coffee but not happy with the service. We went there for breakfast and we had a dog with us. We sat on the deck, no one actually said that we cannot take our dog on the deck (or no signs-dogs are not allow on the deck). My partner got coffee, the staff didn’t say anything to us and then suddenly the other staff came saying ‘ because of some kind of legislation we are not allow to bring the dog on the deck’ which we didn’t know. So we had to move our seat, she didn’t even help us to move the stuff what was on the table and we had to sit under the sun for the whole time while we were eating breakfast.

*If you have a dog I don’t recommend to go here because you can’t sit on the deck!(only 6 tables available on the road which there is no shade).

Me and my partner made sure we looked for the signs but couldn’t see any around the entryway. I would love to put my dog at the park next to the deck but just couldn’t think of it as a first time visitor. It would have been really nice if the staff who told us to leave the deck made a good suggestion like...

We visited Flow Bar for dinner on Australia Day 2024. The restaurant was full even at 7:30pm when we walked in, without a reservation. But we were given a table on the main deck which we requested for, as I wanted to listen to the music of the local bands that play at this venue!

Because the place was full, maybe that’s why the service lacked a bit of pace and courtesy as the wait staff were busy and felt like they were slightly overwhelmed handling such volumes. Even the drinks took a while to get to our table! And maybe because of the crowd, they ran out of some of the chef’s specials (like seafood chowder, brisket burger) which we wanted to order. We ended up ordering 10 pieces of popcorn chicken (tasted average), the red hot chilli prawn pizza and the meatloaf. The pizzas were very good, we enjoyed them.

Overall had a good time when you add up the music, the food and the holiday vibes of the place. Definitely worth a visit...

Food You know how boring pub food can get, pub after pub? Well, welcome to a little country feel sea side bar, with fantastic food and live music, here in Old Bar NSW. A breath of fresh air for pub goers. Small, dainty, personal service and live music - although that is an extra fee. We just go there for a selection of entrees, breaky or different dishes which change constantly. The WEIRD PART They seem to open when they want. Its a business attitude that only comes with a small town, and thus is totally unreliable for someone who wants to bring guests whenever they are in town. I am kind of sick of going for lunch only to find its their day off! Done that 3 times, there wont be a 4th! Note not all of the photos are mine, but from fb page.
