WOW. Tonight my elderly mother, due to my physical illness today and being unable to cook for us here in Old Bar tonight (we do mostly live locally) had to order out. Other usual takeaway food choices were closed tonight on a Monday so we decided to *try* here. My Mother ordered NO rice and nothing extra apart from 2 dishes: ONE Vegetable dish and ONE mixed meat dish, apparently, AND this amounted to a total cost of $44.00. To add insult to injury these people at this "restaurant" told her that she could NOT pay with what is commonly now known as "EFTPOS" (*YET ANOTHER *COUGH* TAX AVOIDANCE BUSINESS ALERT *COUGH*) .... However, fortunately tonight my Mother had enough cash on her to pay the exorbitant price for the underwhelming, over-cooked limp and over-priced watery dishes that they actually have the audacity to call "food". IF I could give this sham of a restaurant a ZERO or a MINUS rating I would. The (I think they were supposed to be CHINESE?) Prawn Chips? are revolting and are in fact only sad burnt offerings that were cooked in obviously VERY dirty old, discoloured, stinky oil!. Shame on you, Luriya's Thai of Old Bar!!! I'm including photos, so that others are aware, aware of this disgusting sham of a decent "food" source within our Village here. UNACCEPTABLE! OVERPRICED SLUSHY MUCK! We actually binned the remainder of the food, it was that poor and binned all of those horrid Chinese chips too. We should have known by the dire outside presentation of your shop, but sadly we gave you a chance.

I have been a returning customer to this restaurant for a good couple of years now. Each of their 12 sittings over the week, have a reasonable following, which speaks for itself...returning customers! Wait staff are lovely and cannot do enough for you and the personel in charge of preparing and cooking the food, make it taste sensational. When my family visit at various times from different parts of the state, this is usually the restaurant they are talking about and wish to visit. If I could give more than five 🌟's I would! So to the entire team, thank you for always making our dine-in or take-away 🍽 be a great experience. It's now become a fantastic watering hole for our family 😁

~ Excellent customer service + very authentic Thai dishes ~ Had a small trip to Old Bar and went to this restaurant for two consecutive nights! We had stir-fry with sweet and sour sauce & green curry the first night (we forgot to take photos). We drank all the curry because it tasted really good! We had Pad Thai, red curry and sticky rice with mango the second night (see photos). The dishes were very authentic and flavorful. We’re impressed that they planted their own veggies! We’re also surprised that the sticky rice came with ice cream ;))) The dishes are reasonably priced and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. We definitely recommend this restaurant!

Waited 30 minutes for take away chicken pad Thai and yellow chicken curry. After seeing multiple bigger orders go out, I approached the VERY young boy to ask where my order was. He approached the kitchen who asked "have they ordered?" Obviously the other VERY young man at the counter had not passed the order on to the kitchen. 15 minutes later the adult approached me and I advised him I was not impressed waiting that long and if I was advised of the wait being 30 minutes or more I would have gone elsewhere. He asked if I still wanted the order. Of course I did after waiting so long. Huge mistake! The so called pad Thai consisted of 98% broken up noodle, a few huge chunks of spring onion and around 5 pieces of chicken. Half a container of yellow curry as the rest had spilt through the cracked container all through the bag and pad Thai. Apparently this place was fantastic before it changed management, now you would be better off going to Coles across the road...

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

An extreme warning to all vegetarians and vegans who have religious reasons. Owner operators don't at all respect the dietary requirements. Neither they will tell you that the item is vegetarian or not, nor they will pay attention to your order specifications.

We ordered 5 vegan fried rice 1 without mushroom and onions. None had mushrooms and all had onions. To add, 3 of them had eggs in it.

Second day we went for dine-in and ordered vegetarian puffs and later found chicken in it. Also one other vegetarian dish had a chicken piece in it. On complaining the owner had a lame excuse that while serving it fell in vegetarian. Then why the hell they served that dish to a vegetarian person.

Totally disgusting place and irresponsible behaviour...
