I normally write complimentary reviews. Not this time..

  1. It started with the phone call for 2 take away pizzas - Rang at 5pm (as soon as they opened) for 2 x New Italy's please but we'd like 1 with pineapple and the other with Prosciutto. Pretty easy? "NO.. we can't do that,.. it's not on the menu.. sorry." But every pizza shop on the planet can add a topping to what is basically a Margarita Pizza? After speaking with the Manager, we were told by the lady who took the order that they would make an exception. WOW! good customer service.. should be good!
  2. Remember we ordered at exactly 5pm for a 6pm pickup. The pizzas came out at 6.20pm. Rushed home to enjoy them,.. Oh NO! So tasteless! Where on earth was the Buffalo Mozzarella - on BOTH of the pizzas? Couldn't see it,.. let alone taste it? Could definitely taste the excessive salt on the base and of course the Italian tomatoes.. but pineapple? What pineapple? A few slithers out of a tin? As for the Prosciutto pizza, the meat was laid on at the last minute and was not cooked at all? The bases were 20 to 30mm thick on the edges and 15mm in the middle. So, after paying an extra $10 for the toppings, our 2 'medium size' New Italy pizzas cost $27 each.. most of which...

Read 20 reviews - and not one Italian amongst them. Coming from an Italian family and growing up on Italian cuisine - it shocks me to see what people are paying for “authentic Italian” - these prices you wouldn’t pay in Sydney and Melbourne (my heartland). Seriously, Fior de latte (ohhh fancy!) - is Mozarella and Napoli sauce (what 3-4 tablespoons) and you have yourself an “authentic” Italian pizza. Unless the produce is grown in Italy - it’s not authentic! Then - the people with more money than brains pay $30 for it. Each extra a whopping $3 now? Back in the day - they’d pump out pizza’s blood sweat and tears every night to make good coin, now - they don’t need to, they make it off the margins on each - and you non-Italian knobs pay for (your ladee da Fior Di Latte - ohhhh fancy). Support your local economy and local jobs they say? No, stop ripping the people off. I buy a few pizza trays now, make my own dough, or pre-made, buy your own topping and feed a family (and some visitors) with “Authentic” Italian...

The customer service was so terrible that the co-owner/manager resorted to name-calling at the slightest criticism. I pointed out that it was unreasonable to wait over an hour for ham and cheese kids pizzas, and he thought it was appropriate to say I was "sour” and apparently “had a sour taste in my mouth from the start”. We decided to cancel our order before the food arrived.

The manager then went on a power trip and tried to tell us to leave and not come back - even though we were already walking out the door. Talk about trying to shut the barn door after the horse has bolted!

To top it off, the manager had the audacity to ask us to leave a bad review. That just goes to show how little respect and understanding they had for us as customers. It's clear that the manager was trying to escalate the situation and make us feel like it was our fault for ordering late - even though nobody came to take our order in the first place and our table not being ready at our reserved time.

All in all, it was a...

Shared a beautiful evening over pizza with my girlfriends at Jordy’s on Friday evening. I went for the Pottsville pizza—my go-to every time—and I have to say, it might just be the best pizza in and around the Gold Coast area! Jordy’s is always my top choice when I’m craving great pizza, and it never disappoints! I would usually opt for the tiramisu for dessert as it is top class, but on this occasion I had no more room after my pizza 😃! The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, and the restaurant had such a great atmosphere. Already excited for my next visit—thanks, guys!

Unbelievable experience at Jordy’s Pizza Casuarina! From start to finish, every bite was next-level. The kingfish was absolutely epic – fresh, perfectly prepared, and full of flavour. The heirloom tomato salad was a standout – simple, vibrant, and bursting with freshness. The pizza? Cooked to absolute perfection – crispy base, beautifully balanced toppings, and just the right amount of char. And don’t even get me started on the gnocchi – creamy, comforting, and seriously delicious. You can taste the quality in every dish. Can’t wait to come back. Jordy’s is a must-visit!

While visiting Casuarina we ordered two pizzas and took close to 20 minutes after the pickup time for those to be ready. The pizzas were average specially considering the hefty price. Whenever you are paying $35 for a pizza, they better have authentic Italian ingredients and flavours (for example). This, however, is overshadowed by the fact that Jordys is one of the few restaurants around Casuarina, making your options fairly limited. The pizzas have a strong sourdough taste and while this is not bad, the presentation and toppings could be improved.
