My recent visit to KFC was a mixed experience, with notable highs and lows that ultimately led to my two-star rating. As a fan of fried chicken, I was hoping for a satisfying meal, but some elements fell short of my expectations.
Starting with the chips, they are normally unsalted and bland but I must say this time the chips were salted but salted way too excessively salty, to the point where it was almost unbearable to eat them. The overpowering saltiness overshadowed any potential flavor they might have had, making them an unpleasant part of the meal. It's essential for something as simple as chips to be balanced in seasoning, but these missed the mark entirely. A more measured approach to seasoning would vastly improve the experience, making the chips a tasty side rather than a source of frustration.
Moving on to the main attraction, the chicken, I found it to be just okay. KFC is known for its signature blend of herbs and spices, which usually delivers a burst of flavor in every bite. However, on this occasion, the chicken was merely adequate. It wasn't as crispy or flavorful as I expected, which was a letdown considering KFC's reputation. While it wasn't terrible, it didn't stand out as particularly good either, falling into the category of mediocrity.
The burgers were also just okay. They weren't bad, but they lacked the distinctiveness that could make them memorable. The flavors were standard, and the overall quality was passable but nothing extraordinary. The burgers did not have any elements that set them apart from other fast-food offerings, which made them quite forgettable. A bit more attention to detail in the preparation and flavor profile could elevate the burger experience to something worth revisiting.
The service at this KFC location was efficient, and the staff were friendly, which was a positive aspect of the visit. The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable dining environment. However, the quality of the food is paramount in a dining experience, and unfortunately, the subpar chips and merely okay chicken and burgers left me feeling underwhelmed.
In conclusion, while KFC has the potential to deliver a satisfying meal, this particular visit did not live up to expectations. The excessively salty chips and mediocre chicken and burgers contributed to a disappointing dining experience. With some improvements in seasoning and flavor, KFC could offer a much more enjoyable meal. For now, based on this experience, I can only give it a two-star...
Read moreDISGUSTING! Visited this KFC yesterday and after we placed our order we went to take a seat. Literally every single table was dirty with food and drink spillage and God knows what else. The floors were putrid. Even the seats had food on them. I understand that there may be a table or 2 that have not been cleaned yet if staff are busy but the place was dead! There were only a couple of people in there and they arrived after we did. Drive through was empty. Staff were just standing around. So why was every single table dirty?.... Even the bathroom was gross. My wrap had no sauce on it, was dry as! When I walked back up to order a drink I stood there for a good 5 minutes while staff just stood around and looked at me like I was an inconvenience 🤣
If I were the manager of this store I would be very ashamed and disgusted.
Also, a couple of girls arrived after us and walked into the store bare foot and in bikinis with everything hanging out.... one sat ON the table and the other sat on the floor. This may not be the stores fault as in the kind of people that go there but this plus how dirty this place was turned me off my food and I left the store feeling sick.
We also waited 20 minutes for 2 Wraps to be made, again they were quiet so what took so long????
Avoid this KFC and drive a bit further up to KFC Bomaderry or anywhere but...
Read moreWow. Visited here Friday night. I should have checked the reviews first, but you think you know what you’re getting when you go to a KFC.
As I approached the entrance I heard a family discussing if they should head to the Northside store to order. I thought that was a bit weird until I got inside.
What a mess. The first thing you see on entering are printed signs saying the self service screens are not working, which was confusing as they were.
Rubbish is all over the floor, there is even rubbish on the service counter. There is no customer service to speak of, no greeting, no smile, zero courtesy at all.
The worst was when I approached the counter and saw the food prep area. Food waste was everywhere, over counters, covering the floor, everywhere.
Looking at previous reviews this is not an unusual state. Management has responded to previous posts so they know there is an issue.
The young staff need better training and support. If it was a one off you could blame the crew on duty, that it happens over and over again is clearly a failure of management.
I won’t be back. I suggest if you have a KFC craving drive on to...
