Hello, I see your response to the review. However it has not addressed the cause of my terrible experience. I completely understand that patience is required during the holiday period. However I attended the venue at about 2:30pm when the advertised closing time is 3:00pm. I waited nearly 10 minutes for the boy at the front counter to serve the two guests in front of me which is not an issue. However upon reaching the counter I attempted to order a coffee and I was told the machine was already off. That is quite appalling considering I could still hear that the barista's were frothing milk for coffees that had already been ordered. I do not consider that to be acceptable service by any standard.
It was no later than 2:44pm when I was at the front counter attempting to order an espresso.
Again, I would like to point out that my issue is not with the wait time, I understand how busy our town gets at this time of year. My concern is with the laziness of the staff, even after local guests have waited patiently during this busy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI donāt usually leave reviews but the service I got a couple of weeks ago at Earnest Arthur was truly outstanding. I was holidaying in the area with some pie-lovers and saw the great reviews so called to place an order for my friends and ask about ingredients for myself as I am vegetarian and have some intolerances.
The lovely girl who answered the phone wasnāt sure and said she would give me call back.
Alex, the owner and inventor, gave me a call soon after and we proceeded to have the loveliest, friendliest in-depth chat about ingredients and quantities and ratios, finally landing on the spicy sweet potato roll as a potential candidate ā and Alex insisted on adding the roll to my order on the house, too.
Well, all the pies ordered were delicious and the sweet potato roll was excellent, no adverse reactions either. 100% will visit again next time Iām in the area and have already told everyone I know that they must stop by when they can. Outstanding service and very tasty products ā the ultimate...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCannot fault their service, quality of food obviously the pies and their coffee. Being a muslim we had their non chicken/meat options sticking to seafood and veggie options. Their pies are easily one of the best i have had in australia, the first time iv eaten pies without sauce because they dont need them. We had the cauliflower and its a favourite of mine, its guey with also broccoli inside. The garlic prawn is also amazing for those who want to try something different, there was a good amount of prawns in them and the taste was great woth it being more runny than the cauliflower. their snapper pie was also very nice and would recommend for seafood lovers. their ricotta rolls and sweet potatoe spicy rolls were also very nice to eat. Coffees were very good we get the soy lattes and the coffee is strong enough and smooth. I will be missing this place but the bonus is i will be stocking up on their frozen pies for takeaway before my journey...
