Kincumber Hotel — Restaurant in New South Wales

I am writing to tell you about my experience at your hotel although I was told it was great food and a great place to have a meal with the children. On the 5/4/25 we had travelled from singleton 1h 40mins each way for a family members birthday at your establishment and had ordered our food at the same time as the rest of the family 45minutes had passed without question on the meals coming as it was very busy we asked the staff what has happened to our meals and they said they had no trace of the order on the system yet we paid $80 and had a buzzer for the food. after a total of waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes we were unable to wait any longer even though at that point they said they would express our food apart from everyone else having eaten 45 minutes earlier we had a 5 month old and 3 year old with us and could not wait any longer as they had got too restless. We got reimbursed the $80 for the food but it was very disappointing that we didn't receive our food as ordered it will be hard for us to have future family dinners here from...

What an amazing venue! I love the way it has the dining areas separate from the general hotel and TAB areas. The kid's play area is huge and accommodates quite a few kids without being overcrowded. We had a wonderful day celebrating my grandson's 2nd birthday. There is lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The toilets were very clean. I liked to garden touch behind the basin. The staff were super helpful and friendly and made sure all the empty glasses and plates were taken away promptly The only negative I have is when we ordered through the QR code, it said there was a half hr wait, which I didn't mind but after 45 minutes and no food, I went to see how much longer, and they said there was still another 3 orders in front of ours. I understand it was super busy but maybe update the waiting times on the QR code cause when I did go in, there was a sign saying there was a 45-minute wait for food and that would have changed what we ordered. Disappointing experience.

We booked a month in advance for a table for a family 18th, left notes that we would be bringing decorations for the table so we had the expectation the table would be ready a little bit early so we could set up, then we called and confirmed 2 weeks out so we knew there wouldn't be any issues.

We arrived 20 minutes early and the table wasn't ready we were moved out of the section that we had booked and put in the kids section (our whole group was 30s-50s except for the 2 18 year olds), we decided not to bother with the table decorations since we had to wait for a table to be set up and there was an hour wait on food, we had a cake with us and when we asked for plates we were told they don't do plates for cake.

Mainly just upsetting as we're an old school local family who all traveled back to Kincumber specifically for kinny pub, every grandparents wake, every sibling and cousins 18th, every family event held there and we couldn't get the table we had booked 5...
