Dined in for the first time and, unfortunately, had a really disappointing experience — mainly due to one male staff member who appeared to be the manager. From the moment we were seated, his attitude was rude and unwelcoming, The female waitress who served us was friendly, and we placed an order for 3 beef tacos, 2 pork tacos, and 2 cauliflower tacos. I even repeated the order back to her to make sure everything was correct. When the food arrived, I said, “Yep, that’s ours,” and asked for it to be placed in the middle of the table. However, once it was set down, I realised we had been given green bean tostadas instead of the beef tacos we ordered. The male staff member then came over to deliver a margarita my partner had ordered. I took the opportunity to let him know — politely and in a friendly manner — what we had actually ordered versus what was brought out. He looked at the plate, then at me with a smug expression, clearly showing he didn’t care. He began to walk away but stopped, turned around, and said in a rude tone with a scrunched-up face “Soo… what do you want, tostadas or tacos?” It felt like he was insinuating that I didn’t know what I was talking about or that I had been drinking — when in fact, I was completely sober the entire time. He never once apologised for the mistake and ignored us for the rest of our time there.

To make matters worse, I later checked my bank account and saw we had been charged for both the incorrect dish and the correct one.

I have never felt so disrespected by a staff member in my life. It was extremely unprofessional and left me feeling upset and...

Title: A Culinary Fiesta of Flavor!

Review: I recently had the pleasure of dining at this exceptional Mexican restaurant, and I must say, it was a feast for the senses! The delicious dishes transported my taste buds to new heights of delight. Each bite was a burst of authentic Mexican flavors that left me craving more.

The service was impeccable; the staff were attentive Their genuine warmth and friendliness added an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall dining experience.

As for the atmosphere, it was a perfect blend of vibrant and cozy. The lively colors and tasteful decor created an inviting space that made me feel like I was momentarily transported to Mexico. Whether you're seeking a romantic dinner or a lively gathering with friends, this restaurant caters to every occasion.

In summary, if you're a connoisseur of Mexican cuisine or just someone looking for an unforgettable dining experience, this restaurant is a must-visit. From the first bite to the last, it's a culinary journey that I can't wait to embark on...

5 stars is not enough for this wonderful little find. We went on a Wednesday night and there was a few tables. We were quickly seated and drinks ordered. The classic margueritas were first class and came out quickly. But this place is about the food and wow, was it incredible. Fresh and plentiful and tasty and well, it really was the best Mexican food I have had in Australia. The staff were also friendly and fun and happy to offer suggestions. I am so sorry I don't live near this place as I would be going there all the time. Recommend the jalapeno poppers for starters, ow and the cheeseburger chimichanga, and for mains, the Beef nachos was large and flavoursome with a selection of different corn chips, the kingfish ceviche was a standout as was the nights special of lobster tacos. Oh, and the Churros for dessert, crispy on the outside and of so soft in the middle, and the dipping sauce, including the vegan chocolate one, were the crowning glory. Honestly, do yourself a favour and visit Lolita's, you will not be...

Not your average Mexican restaurant. Hubby and I are big foodies and everywhere we go, we like to eat at places where the menu is a bit more inventive. This place did not disappoint. The decor inside would suit both if you wanted to catch up with a big group or just a nice dinner as a couple, like we did. Has a lovely bar area and nice selection of cocktails and the mocktail I had was great. Everything we ordered from the popcorn chicken, watermelon salad, lamb taco, beef taco and the fish taco we’re delicious, especially the fish taco. The service too was great, from the service staff to the Manager, everything was very pleasant and we left thinking we would definitely come back here next time we’re in Kingscliff. If we were locals, we would be here as regulars, as there were more dishes I would love to try from their menu.

We haven’t been here for quite a while but visit if in the area, think it’s changed hands since we last came. The waitstaff whilst all very friendly, service was slow and not attentive. They did apologise for the wait and said they were a manager down, not sure how one person missing could cause big delays, maybe they were missing direction. We would have been happy to order more drinks when waiting for food, but no one asked us. The food was also a disappointment from what we have had prior. The kingfish ceviche was really salty, the tacos lacked any freshness. It wasn’t bad food just needed tweaking, was just all very heavy. No one came to check how our meals were so couldn’t deliver feedback during dining. The atmosphere is what made up for it a little.

We managed to book a table easily for a Sunday night. Found a park ok. Service was friendly but the menu item I requested wasn't available when ordered. They could have told me up front. Hubby's meal wasn't delivered with mine and after 20 minutes nibbling at mine, he enquired whether it had been forgotten. It appeared about 5 mins later. The food was delicious. Fresh, with decent portions. Not your usual Mexican fare, more authentic I feel. The corn chips were amazing. We were too full for dessert. Drink prices were reasonable. It cost us about $90 for shared entree, 2 mains and 2 soft drinks. Again, reasonable we thought. Loved all the greenery. We will definitely eat here again.
