If I could give the service score less than 1 star I would. I ordered a chocolate thickshake at one of their ordering kiosks which is fine. The thickshake machine had obviously run out of chocolate syrup because the ‘chocolate’ shake wasn’t flavoured at all. No biggie, that happens. I took it back to the counter to let them know that the chocolate syrup was obviously out in the machine and to ask for them to remake it. It took around 10 minutes of staff looking at me and quickly looking away and not making any attempt to come to find out if something was wrong. Eventually someone did come over to see if they could help; I showed them the shake and explained that it obviously wasn’t chocolate and all he said was that he worked out the back and couldn’t really help. Eventually, another 10 ish minutes later, by which time I was rather irritated and the whole thing was now a matter of principle, I watched the same staff member walk past with shake syrups, carefully not making eye contact. Another couple of minutes and I was given a new shake… however, they appeared to have poured some of the syrup into the bottom of the cup and dispensed a shake on top of it presumably in haste to get it to me rather than fill up the syrup first then run the shake through, resulting in the most chocolatey shake I’ve ever had, as if the chocolate for both shakes has ended up in the second one but wasn’t mixed through. The store counter was filthy and I could see the floor getting dirtier as the girl looking after the coffee machine mopped the floor with a bucket that appeared to have been used for several days, you could literally see the floor get dirtier where she was mopping. This would have to be one of, if not the, worst McDonald’s in NSW if not the country. They...
Read moreThis has to be the worst McDonald’s in Australia. As it is at a BP you would expect there standards to be high, as they get a lot of travellers. But no, this was the worst McDonalds experience I have ever had. We ordered the Tennessee bbq burger, and a double quarter pounder meal. We received the burgers with sauce all over the outside of the box, and on the inside half the sauce was spilled all throughout the box, and not even on the burgers. Before leaving, we looked at our Large fries, which were half filled and looked like a small and were cold. My partner went up to the counter, where he said to a manager “could I please get fresh fries these are very cold”. The manager didn’t say anything to my partner, and proceeded to roll her eyes as she walked off. About a minute later she came to the front counter and held the bag out towards us, still not saying anything. We went to grab our fries and left. Once getting in the car we realised that the fries were not even cooked, and were basically raw. And once again HALF FULL!!!! (Which you can see in the photo below) order was placed at 2:18pm on the 5th June, order 183. When placing our order at the self order machines, they didn’t print out a receipt. So the only receipt we received is on our cups of tea (photo below). As my partner and I are past McDonald’s employees, we know that when a customer complains, you should take extra care into correcting their order. In saying that, you should just be able to get the order correct on the first go. We were more than happy to wait the 2 minutes 58 seconds for the fries to cook. And as well, it doesn’t take much for a manager to actually speak to a customer and acknowledge...
Read moreI definitely would not recommend anyone visit the McDonald's at BP Ballina Travel Centre 41 Bruxner Highway, West Ballina, NSW.
The customer service was absolutely horrendous! There was no one serving at the counter. The staff who were working at the barista station (which is next to the front counter) constantly had their backs turned so that they wouldn’t have to engage with any waiting customers. One of the male staff was very clearly high on weed.
We ordered around 11am and there was a coffee on the counter that someone had ordered at 9:20am and obviously had given up on waiting and left it there.
I ordered a Caesar wrap and the wrap that they used was so stale that it crumbled and disintegrated when they tried to wrap it. Also the wrap was so stale that I cut my mouth on it when I tried to bite into it.
There were no straws and when I could finally find a staff member to ask for some straws they gave me attitude like it was an inconvenience to go and get some straws.
My wife made a second order and the self service kiosk wouldn’t take her payment, so then she had to wait 10 minutes for a staff member to come and take her payment at the counter. When her order was finally ready they only gave her half of her order and when she inquired about where the rest of the order was, she was given attitude again from the staff member and once again was made to feel like she was inconveniencing them by requesting the rest of her order. The staff member just came back and aggressively dumped the order on the counter and walked off. In conclusion the store at the Ballina BP service centre is a complete mess and I highly recommend retraining all staff in...
