McDonald's — Restaurant in New South Wales

It’s busy, it’s crowded, it’s a tourist destination and it was Christmas Day. Now you’d think the food would move pretty quick right? Yeah me too .... It’s Mc Donald’s, so look we aren’t expecting that we are getting Michelin Star ⭐️

Anthony Bourdain (RIP) isn’t about to review here but we thought we’d take on what he didn’t manage to get to!

The customers are frequent and the decor is industrial. Think way too much veneered timber and metal. The staff are well versed in the menu ..... they are after all large self serve kiosks for the main part. “We’re did my people go” ? Who was it that sold maccas on the idea that I don’t want to speak to spotty teenagers? That Id rather order from a touch screen? Hmmmmm the sound of break voices and a lack of capacity to maintainers contact has its charm Mc D’s!

The food arrived well slow .... we expected that, as one of the only places open in Port on Christmas Day .... ok. But how is it with all that business and busyness that our buggers were able to be left under a heat lamp so that the buns become hard and chewy? Why are my chips soggy and cold? It took a really long time to get to me, surely that means someone’s cooking it right? Why do people have blue eyes? Why did lady Gaga wear the meat dress? Why did Che Guevara always wear that beret? What are people so unkind?

So many questions .....

We aren’t condemning the good people of Macca’s Port Macquarie at the Donut more we were just left with...

Macdonalds usually trains their staff so well, and I never give bad reviews, but the service at this macdonalds has been so poor each time I and my family have been.

First time were given the wrong items, and the young staff member was very snapppy, somehow turned it around and blamed us for it being the wrong order, and stormed away before we could even realise what had happened.

The next time (today) I could barely hear the person at the speaker because there were multiple teens laughing into the speaker and screaming out lyrics to kids movies. She also couldn't hear me, and when I drove around to the pay booth there were about 4-5 people jammed in the space acting very silly.

Each other time I've been my order has either come back wrong (and I haven't realised until I've arrived home), or main ingredients like the meat patty will be missing.

Multiple people I've talked to have made similar complaints (some refusing to go back) about the rude and unprofessional service, poor quality food, and unclean environment, at times when they aren't actually busy.

I now understand why this macdonalds never has a line up compared to the other food...

I just wanted to give a big shoutout and a massive thank you for the incredible help I got from your restaurant recently. I was on a road trip to Sydney and decided to take a break and grab a meal at your place. Little did I know, I was so exhausted and dizzy that I accidentally left my bag on the table, and it had my bank cards, driver's license, and keys inside.

I can't even begin to express how grateful I am for the awesome team you have. They spotted my forgotten bag, took good care of it, and even went above and beyond to send it back to me.

Seriously, your crew's honesty and kindness blew me away. They not only made sure my stuff was safe but also took the time and effort to reunite me with my belongings.

I can't thank you enough for the outstanding customer service and the peace of mind you gave me. You've restored my faith in humanity, and I genuinely appreciate the care and professionalism your team demonstrated.

I'll definitely be spreading the word about the amazing experience I had at McDonald's Port Macquarie. You guys rock, and I highly recommend your restaurant to anyone passing through the area.
