Absolutely worst McDonald’s in the country. I don’t know how any licensee could admit to owning this franchise when it has the worst staffing levels and don’t get me started on ordering something that requires a change from the way it’s listed in the menu, if you get said request staff will often think their funny and give you an extreme of your request, such as extra mayo will come with so much it’s inedible. They leave a single manager to run the downstairs of the drive through after closing who I am too assume is the only person in the entire store with the kitchen upstairs as they only serve 2 cars every half hour between 11pm and 6am. I once was waiting in line over half hour and still hadn’t reached the speaker box when I always order on the app anyway. The fries are never fresh and cooked properly, I’ve received undercooked friend and fries so old my dog won’t even eat them. I’ve give up going here and would rather drive over an hour away to Glen Innes to get McDonald’s as I know they’re a different owner. The Munro group just milks money with pathetic service and substandard food and gives nothing back to its community when this restaurant is in not just a lower socioeconomic area it’s literally across the road from a homelessness shanty town and does nothing to help anyone that isn’t in aid of lining their golden...
Read moreVery busy mainly as they lack sufficient staff. Seems to be the trend now at all McD, expect the customers to self order not have manned counters and slow food delivery with lots of mistakes. Don't like the steep stairs to access the place ( it floods downstairs). The carpark is often overcrowded so be very careful of pedestrians and other cars backing out. With only one exit hate to be caught upstairs if a fire or terrorist incident happened. They have permanently shutdown about half of the cash registers hoping we are now " trained " to use self service. Well no many of us don't like self service and in most cases people take at least twice as long to put their order in as the time staff used tobtake. The only advantage is you don't get upgraded to large as easy. Also if McD are saving on staff why are prices always rising? McD used to be a cheap meal well no longer. Yes some specials are great such as loose change menu but $15 for a gourmet burger no thanks! The auto self service also have no provision for the seniors free coffee. But go to the counter ( when anyone comes to serve you that is) and they will honour the free small drink, unlike McD at Taree who will always find a way to avoid giving you a free...
Read moreMcDonalds are great place for a quick bite to eat when travelling. This place is ideally situated for travellers. Strangely you have to walk upstairs to get to the restaurant or there is a lift. On this visit the staff were overwhelmed by customers and forgot to issue meal table service numbers or issued numbers where no table service was required. I had a table service number but no service. Eventually I went to the counter and found my meal waiting. Although they may have called my docket number I would not have heard it above the noise and confusion. Owners/Managers need to look at how they deliver service at this location.I have used McDonalds in 4 states in Australia plus USA and Canada and the location in Grafton has got to be the worst in terms of getting in and out (to access the building one needs to use a pedestrian crossing which is poorly marked and not seen by drivers and is often blocked by double parked cars some with caravans and boats, I found the experience a bit daunting as cars were not giving way to pedestrians) and in terms of service or more precisely,...
