Time for another burger shop review. Came across this gem after a recommendation from a friend. I never knew this place existed until yesterday. I’m glad I visited. Very keen to try some of their menu.
I opted for a double up burger meal with a loaded fries (my usual go to)
Atmosphere: Classic burger shop layout with spray painted walls a couple of 7.1 Sony muteki hifis and some temporary fencing. First impression when I walked in was a bit worrying. It’s a little run down the drive thru made it look like the place was abandoned but when i walked in there was multiple people sitting down having a meal while a few people lined up to order. I had a feeling this was going to be better than how it looked.
Service. Greeted by a bloke at the counter no complaints was happy to take our order and understanding with a couple of changes to my meal. I also changed my mind on something and the fella was more than happy to adjust my meal. Great service.
Food. Well the burger being a double and I opted for the recommended mozzarella patty isn’t for the faint hearted this thing was huge. Pattys and bacon were cooked well. Perfect amount of sauce and condiments I enjoyed the burger start to finish. The loaded fries I went for the pulled pork loaded fries. I enjoyed them the chips were seasoned thoroughly and were cooked perfectly. If I could criticise anything. It wasn’t completely loaded with pork. But at the price point I didn’t expect it to be. It wasn’t totally mouth watering but once again. The value was amazing. I was just able to finish my meal I left feeling very full but everything sat well and I was impressed. I cannot wait to go back and try some more of the menu.
Value. This place is 10/10 bang for buck. It doesn’t boast fancy “wagyu” or premium condiments but the price point you wouldn’t expect that. However this is not to say it isn’t a good burger. I would DEFINIATELY recommend visiting if you’re a burger head. Or passing thru the south coast this is an ideal place to...
Read moreWe visited the Albion Park location yesterday, making a 1.5hr trip with great anticipation.
I have to say I don't think it met my hopes at all. They were able to accept and complete changes to the burgers with ease. The fried chicken, which I requested to be on the side instead of in the "Holy Trinity" burger was flavourless and so oily. Yes, it was tender, but still not a thrill to eat. The burger had two small pickles, which I thought was a bit skimpy for a $15 burger. The bacon was nicely cooked and had good flavour, and I enjoyed the truffle mayo. My mum had a cheeseburger, and her first bite was full on gristle. There was also a crazy amount of mustard and tomato sauce. She didn't enjoy it. My dad enjoyed his Holy Trinity burger, but he eats pretty much anything anyway.
Dad and I didn't enjoy the slaw, but mum thought it was OK, though most was left.
The fries were nice, the seasoning tasted like barbecue potato chips.
The cauliflower was simply deep fried and lightly seasoned... very oily.
The buns were so soft that they had no substance, and ended up looking like pancakes after holding.
We received no serviettes or forks with our meal, which was puzzling. The tables were also very sticky.
Overall, a pretty average meal. I appreciate what you're trying to achieve, but I really think it needs more attention to detail. Perhaps the place was a bit understaffed.
Thanks, Sneaky Burger. Best wishes with your...
Read moreI'm from out of town and came in to visit a mate and his family. They took me out to Sneaky's for lunch and I am so glad they did! They were a bit worried as the last time they went to this store, the aircon was having issues and it was hot and uncomfortable, luckily it was cool today. The girl at the counter did a 'fairnuff' job of serving us and the atmosphere was a bit drab as all the game machines were switched off.
However it was all made up for by the yummy grub. I really vouch for the Trinity Burger. A chicken and beef combo in a burger usually spells for a bad mix but not in this case. Sneaky's pulls this mix off perfectly and the bacon only adds to the well-balanced mix.
I ordered some buffalo wings on the side and I have to say THESE ARE HOT. I dare say hotter than straight up Sriracha chilli. I always thought I had a good tolerance to chilli but these watered my eyes.
Don't forget to try the truffle mayo and sneaky sauce to dip your fries into, I highly recommend these.
All in all I had a good experience here and definitely keen to try the food again. Would have happily given an extra star if the service girl was a little more enthusiastic and if the game machines were on and adding...
