Two weeks agoI ordered through the Subway app a Bacon, egg and cheese six inch from Erina NSW. 172-176 The Entrance Road, Erina. I had a few bites before the roll started to open and that’s when I saw , despite being toasted, the bacon was clearly uncooked. Lucky I didn’t order it ‘fresh’. I assumed the bacon would be cooked prior to being put on the roll. I have taken a photo of the roll ( bite on the right). I was unable to eat the roll once I was aware of this because the bacon had touched the other items on the roll. Raw bacon can cross contaminate the other produce. So it was $7:50 in the bin, but then worse I had have to wait to see if was unlucky enough to get ill-and I was unlucky. :( I now have no confidence to have any Subway roll that has a potentially uncooked meat like bacon in it. Contacted them via the Subway Aust website with no response other than ‘your feedback is important and we’ve let the right people know”. Tried a week later on FB site. Was advised to send another response ( same place) then when no reply I again asked on FB and was told to do it again. No one has responded yet other than the generic feedback valued comment. Someone could get quite ill if they keep serving the raw bacon . Response to store reply- I have emailed you, providing all the receipts details etc as per my other contact attempted via the Subway site. Edit- I have been contacted by the Subway restaurant and they informed me the bacon is smoked, and edible even cold. They follow the Subway procedure. This review reflects my experience of the egg and bacon roll. I’d seen the photo of the bacon on the Subway site and it had the sizzle look. Read moreBeen very disappointed with the service over the last two visits recently. I'm somewhat sympathetic to the scenario of the store running out of bread or cookies, the former which seems to happen fairly often. That can't always be helped if the demand is high.
What can't be so easily excused is the staff messing up the online orders every time. Simple things like not toasting the bread, not using the requested bread, giving the wrong cookies. I've been a long term customer of this store, and it's very disappointing to be...
