I recently tried this Indian restaurant and had such a great experience. We ordered garlic and plain naan, butter chicken, lamb korma, Hyderabad lamb biryani, and a salted lassi — and honestly, everything was delicious. The naan was so soft and fresh — probably some of the best I’ve had in a while. It paired perfectly with the butter chicken, which was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The lamb korma was just as good — tender pieces of lamb in a beautifully spiced, velvety sauce. The standout for me was the Hyderabadi lamb biryani. It was packed with flavor, fragrant, and had just the right amount of heat. The lamb was tender and cooked to perfection. I also tried the salted lassi, which was super refreshing and balanced the spices in the meal really well. Overall, I was really impressed — the food was full of flavor, well-prepared, and super satisfying. I’ll definitely be going back!

Lots of varieties to choose from - we asked for recommendations from the wait staff and they did not dissapoint. Everything was flavourful and taste great in general. The palak paneer has some smokiness taste into it. I particularly love the coconut rice (Jeera Pulao), it was very fragrant. Definitely recommended if you are travelling around here.

Very unassuming restaurant at the western end of the Shellharbour Village shops. Grabbed takeaway from here, and the food is very tasty - the Chicken Korma hit all the right notes, and the Garlic Naan was delicious. Clearly very popular with locals, as while I was waiting for my order, quite a few people came through to pick up takeaway orders.

The next time you feel like some scenery, why not head down to Shellharbour, just half an hour south of Wollongong, NSW which is home to a small beachside village where there is so much to see and do. We had just watched the matinee session of the musical ‘Hair’ put on by the Roo Theatre and felt some indian food with a view sounded a perfect end to a very stimulating day.

The first course was Tandoori Chicken with butter naan $10.90 (half) The meat melted in the mouth and the marinade was spicy and full of flavour. We loved the dipping sauces and thought it was great value.

Tandoori Chicken $10.90

The second course was the restaurant’s speciality, the ‘Junction Platter’ which was a combination of entrees which included Seekh Kebab, Fish Tikka, Chicken Tikka, and Onion Bhaji. Again the dipping sauces were a great accompaniment and there was much moaning of contentment from everyone, especially with regard to the Fish Tikka which was absolutely delicious.

Junction platter $16.90

Sauces platter was a wonderful surprise. The mixed pickles tasted liked it needed a little more sugar, leaning towards bitter but was very interesting. The chutney was very zingy, with ginger and mango which was a firm favourite. The cooling cucumber raita has always been something I look forward to.

Side dish platter $6

Just had an awesome dinner with friends at this Indian restaurant! We kicked things off with the Chicken Biryani, and it was seriously flavorful – the rice was perfectly cooked, and the chicken was tender. The Tandoori Roti was on point, too, nice and crisp. And I tried Mango Lassi for the first time, so refreshing and sweet!

For our mains, we dove into the Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken. The Tikka Masala had this creamy, tangy thing going on that was just addictive, and the Butter Chicken? Super rich and comforting. But the real star of the show was the Prawn Vindaloo. It had this incredible spicy kick that I couldn't get enough of. If you're a fan of heat, you gotta try it!

The service was also great – our server was super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. (We even got complimentary desserts!) Overall, a fantastic meal with great company. Definitely planning a...
