If I could have rated lower than 1 I would have.
I placed an online order because previous times whilst standing in a queue they have gotten priority. Well if I had of just queued up I would have been served faster then what they acknowledged my order. Several people who entered the store were served with subs made before mine had even been looked at.
It got to the point that I asked for a refund instead of them making my order. The acting manager came out and said the money should appear in my bank in 3 - 4 business days. I asked what if it doesn't and she said to contact the bank and store manager. I asked for managers number and she refused to give it to me.
I also saw the acting manager walk out of the staff toilet with one of the large serving spoons and put it back into service. Goodness knows why you need one in the toilet but an audit of proper food handling techniques should be done on this shop.

I felt sorry for the male co worker for how she reflects spoke to him in front of customers. He didn’t do anything wrong but the Tone criticism was unnecessary. Another customer apologised for not stipulating she didn’t want her food heated even tho the manager hadn’t heated it yet but she scoffed at the customer and then it was my turn to be served and her repulsive attitude continued. I’ve never felt so inconvenient to order my food from here. Why is subway having managers like this. What a horrible service and what does this teach others who are under her. Bad example. Read moreWould recommend travelling to east Maitland as Thornton has hit rock bottom. Always expect to have an awful customer service experience at Subway Thornton. No smiles or even saying “what you want” just get spared at to give them my order. Subway was tossed around and slammed onto the counter once finished was not wrapped properly, sauce dripping out of wrapper got given no napkins. The eye roles, signs and just the feeling as if I’m a burden for being there by the staff is just horrible.
