I tried this place out recently. I knew it had had a change of ownership and was more family oriented, so I took my 6 year old granddaughter with me. It was a Wednesday night in holiday season, so it was steady, but not really busy. The ambiance was friendly and they had a boppy soundtrack going in the background. We sat outside on the covered patio at the back and it was pleasant, although there wasn't any view to speak of. There is a limited menu but it covers most of the pub favourites. I had a chicken burger that was dressed with cheese, cos lettuce, pickle, avocado and pickled onions providing the crunch. It was delicious. My granddaughter had fish and chips from the kids menu. The food was good and there are GF versions of several of the meals for the coeliac family members. For drinks, there's quite a selection of boutique beers on tap, but they had me at "A&W Root beer". Love that. The place and people are friendly, the food is good at a fair price, but on this particular night, the kitchen service was S-L-O-W. Don't know if that's normal but I almost did one of those ' do you have my order???' queries. I recommend you try it, but don't be in a hurry. Even then, they might...

Absolutely love this place! We are locals and only rediscovered this place a few weeks ago. We had been in the past, but that was before Rudy's restaurant had arrived. We had a great experience here with our six kids and knew we would return. Saturday night, we had two other families visiting and our dinner plans fell through, so I recommended we all go to Rudy's. They did not disappoint. When I called and asked if they could accommodate 15 people in the next half an hour, they didn't hesitate, "I can make that work," I was told. We arrived to be greated by the man who took my booking and shown to our table they had organised for us. The service was fast and friendly, and the food, once again, was delicious. The menu is fantastic with many options and some great daily specials. The price is quite reasonable and the serving sizes are huge. Speaking of serving sizes, I took on the burger challenge and, just managed to finish in time to make the wall of fame. We will definitely be returning as it is not often we can find a place that can leave my wife, my daughter, my five sons and myself completed satisfied and delighted with...

I recently held my 40th Birthday Party at this great hotel with 60 guests...and what a night!

Before I say how much fun we had, I have to say how great the team of staff was. So helpful in the lead up to the party, nothing was a problem and they were willing to fit in with what I had in mind. The food, set-up, and the clean up ~ they were just so friendly.

The FOOD was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! We chose cocktail platters along with Churasco for dessert and WOW...so yum, so fresh and so much! The cost was also more than competitive and no room hire was charged! The drinks were a decent price and everyone had such a fun night.

All the candles and fairy lights, the area was truly transformed into what I wanted!

When I went back the next day to collect the stuff we had left behind, only the Publican and cleaner were there, and I apologised about the mess a particular party member made with glitter and stars...and their response "All part of the occasion, its really no problem" (with a smile on their face...and there were a lot of gold stars, they are probably still cleaning it up!...

It is rare to be welcomed so warmly to any pub! We live locally - well within 15min drive. We were delighted as we walked in at the traditional pub decor and warm atmosphere with the log fire. We were a little early so the main pub was not open yet so we had a beer, coffee and lovely chocolate browny in the cafe section at the back. Even the toilets had their own charm (sorry - no photos). You can see what a loveley palce this is from the photos but experiencing he charm opf the staff requires a personal visit ! The $5 lager was excellent - and I've been drinking beer for 53 years so I should know! The cocolate brownie was home made and mint flavored - my wife loved it. WHAT A GREAT PUB AND CAFE!!! We've been here for 3 years and never seen it before because it's a little off the main road. Don't make our mistake! We'll be back!
