My favourite restaurant on Norfolk Island, located in some very nice gardens just off the main road. The restaurant is in a old converted house sharing a space with a small art gallery/shop. It has a very comfortable feel with both inside and outside seating, nice to enjoy the garden and fresh air.
Everyone working there is friendly, and the service was great. I enjoyed both a lunch and dinner as there are different menu's trying several of the local dishes. Staff advised scones were cooked yesterday and obviously reheated too long in the microwave. My cup of tea arrived and no sugar so asked one waitress who forgot, then asked another who also got sidetracked and sat down with a table of people to Chat, asked again and forgot again so it took four requests to finally get sugar. I requested to have it with no sauce or salad (as Iâm a purist) đ When it arrived at first, the kitchen had not granted my request, but just as I was about to complain, the waitress had realised the mistake, came back to the table, profusely apologised, and had a replacement burger ready within a few minutes.
