Sandbar Cafe Restaurant — Restaurant in North Haven

We came to this cafe to have a goodbye breakfast and spend a nice morning out. The experience started fine, however when we received our food there was large black hairs throughout one of our meals. This couldn’t be missed as it was on top of white halloumi, so the chef decided to knowingly serve this. We informed the ladies and suggested we wanted to get this meal recooked as neither of us wanted to touch this meal, in an attempt to stay and still enjoy our morning, it was not busy when we arrived so this cannot be an excuse. All service workers then refused to come near our table and interact with us. My meal was also left on the table no offer to keep it warm while we waited for the other meal. Then 25 mins later we got a second attempt at the meal, instead of offering pepper as the previous worked did, she plonked the shaker on the table alongside the meal and left quickly. No attempt was made to check on the meal or to rectify the situation. Both of us are hospitality workers, neither of us were pleased with the interaction. Despite their mistake there was no attempt to comp or discount the meal due to the experience. When we went to pay we were not asked how our meal was, no attempt to rectify or make our experience pleasant. We paid and left, no have a nice day or any acknowledgment that our experience was horrible. I suggest telling your chef to wear a hair net as almost all other hospitality venues require to prevent this from happening. Local family members will not be returning...

Awesome cafe, I really enjoyed it here. My kids had some pancakes with banana and maple syrup that they raved about, coffee was delicious, and I had a smoked salmon, avo and feta salad which was delicious too.

Beautiful location and really well priced also, very reasonable. We were camping nearby at Diamond Head Caravan Park and it was exactly what we were looking for.

Cappuccino was awesome the flavour of the coffee was amazing, we ordered the bacon and egg rolls one without egg as I'm allergic so much bacon on both, the buns were the best I've ever had! they were massive but light, like muffin crossed with a bun, I was told by the staff they're made by SCOTT'S Bakery in Lorieton, love your work Scott's, the staff at the Sandbar are worth their weight in gold, friendly n professional lovely place, great views beautiful staff, thanks guy's 10 out 10 😁 wil definitely be back next time we're...
