Australian Snack Bar — Restaurant in Northern Territory

Terrible service. I ordered a chicken wrap today, waited for quite a while, and went to check the order hadn't been forgotten as I had to head back to work. The bloke behind the counter started yelling at me, saying it hadn't been half an hour yet and not to make a scene. I was very embarrassed as all I wanted to do was check how long my food would be. He yelled again, then came out with my food, again yelling that he had been watching me and it hadn't been half an hour and pushed the food into my hands. I tried to explain that all I wanted to do was check how long etc and that I never mentioned half an hour. I left feeling quite shaken. I am (was) a regular there. Think they are new owners. Wonderful staff. Good drink specials on the classic range.

The food though. I've never been satisfied by food from there once. Dry crusts. Poor quality ingredients. And the price. Damn. $8.90 for a sandwich that's barely got enough topping on it. No sauce. Just rude crude here's your food dude. That's how I feel the chef is speaking to me with their product.

Sample you own food guys. It really has a lot of room for improvement.

The food is okay here but expensive, coffee is okay, main issue I have is not knowing what you are going to get when you buy something,like a Ham Cheese and Tomato roll that you take back to work and discover it is a Ham Cheese Tomato Salami Pineapple Capsicum roll drowned in mayonnaise,or an Egg Bacon and Cheese toastie full of disgusting tomato sauce which I hate,and of which there is no mention on the wrapper so $7 sandwich went straight in the bin,also asking $4.90 for a dirty old Chiko roll.This place is over rated and too often...
