Beachfront Hotel — Restaurant in Northern Territory

From my angle, as a local Beachfront recipient over the years of developing as a young teenager up to adulthood and giving/having so many different social experiences here, eye have always found this location the best place to be from all in Darwin. It actually gives the humbling vibes to Lola’s Pregola, another top favourite bar of mine by the salt water in Cullen Bay.

Brâhnie, reached out to me as the mixologist here and she has been placid, bright and friendly throughout the time eye have experienced her as she offered me this chance to give feedback as well which was very much needed from the shift of order.

She has never ignored me as a ‘custy’ if eye am at the bar, for other tasks, she drops the things (not violently but politely) and is very officiant with her delivery, then she would continue the task again once she has dealt with the humans. She has a surfy sort of vibe about her and feels like she has probably travelled from another state to be here with much understanding.

The food is very delicious in its delivery especially my favourite is the double cooked pork crackling so eye am eventually looking forward to trying the October fest meal, the pork knuckle. The parmy eye was slightly disappointed in for my own textures, which is fine but something was funky about the crumbling and the chicken was too thick. I also remember a woman of my friends’ missing out on the ‘Nasi goreng’ (Indo fusion) option. However overall everything seems good. Other things end up fixing the other things.

Atmosphere?

Did you just say atmos… that is my favourite topic. The atmosphere is always brilliant here depending on the devices of your own mind. The only thing I would suggest is live music with more variety of artists, as in… try to explore them all that exist in Darwin as they are from many walks of life. Some more easier to deal with than others however this venue would thrive in utilise the stage in unorthodoxed talent whilst opening the sliding door when that is happening.

Eye believe people will feel super relaxed and come over to your venue anytime for the good people behind the bar. It’s good from the other version we had. And always looking for a better paradise within the paradise.

We visited the beachfront hotel for lunch, and unfortunately it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve ever had. I ordered the chicken flatbread and my partner ordered a steak. When my meal arrived, my first bite revealed nothing but salad. On opening the flatbread, I found a piece of chicken literally smaller than a nugget. I politely asked the wait staff if this was normal and if she could check. My plate was taken away, and I was told a manager would come to speak with me.

No manager ever came. No update was given. Meanwhile, my partner finished his entire meal as I sat waiting for over 30 minutes with nothing. Eventually, frustrated and still hungry, we asked for a refund. The refund was processed, but without a genuine apology or explanation.

To make matters worse, only a few minutes later I witnessed a staff member walking out to their break — with my flatbread in hand. Shocked, I called to confirm, and the manager actually admitted that yes, the staff member had taken my food after the refund was given. In my 13 years of working in hospitality, I have never experienced such unprofessional conduct from both management and staff.

When I explained that all I really wanted was simply to eat the meal I had ordered, I was met with: “Well, what would you like the outcome to be?” The answer was obvious — a basic level of service and respect, which was sorely lacking.

This experience was incredibly disappointing, and I certainly won’t...

So we were recommended this place it has changed hands since recommendation went for lunch ordered bruschetta. It sat on the serving bench getting cold we couldn’t take it ..had to wait .It came with cucumber on it ? ? No olive oil not enough cheese etc .We were all so hungry we ate it paid $90 .00 so yup eating it .Our order also was calamari to share paid for 3 lots as one serve wasn’t enough for 4 people to share and that’s ok it comes out as deep fried lumps in what looks like cooked in old oil so dark ..it definitely isn’t rings that’s ok so 4 of us start to try and taste it ..some we think is calamari but the others that we left look like octopus with legs and all !!My brother took batter off and showed us a head one even had an umbilical cord😳poor mumma her baby gone ☹️We did not order an octopuses garden! Took what was left back and complained that it wasn’t calamari as in rings like you normally would get.. it’s octopus with legs! Was going to get a refund but because we had eaten half no refund . That’s ok I’ll do a review !! Will not recommend this place to anyone. This one star rating would be less if I was allowed.*I might add that the bar staff on the other hand were bloody brilliant highly...
