Im a fly in and out worker so for convenience we go for tea a couple times a week, been doing this for couple years. Have been to the gillen club lots of times and truth is the meals are ok (pub type meals). But customer service is terrible. The staff are rude and need to be taught how to respect customers. I know finding staff in Alice Springs isn't easy. But I'd rather run a business with limited staff than with rude staff. After reading the comments on this you would think management would do something about it! Time for us to find a new local. Bad form gillen club. Not sure how I reply to you so ill let you know here. I'm not sure who the person in charge was but I've had way too many meals there to count but the service is generally average. But food is cheapish and ok. Also, during dinner in the bistro an Aboriginal women was having a domestic with someone at the front counter where you buy food at 620pm drunk, families trying to have dinner. It had taken too long for the security guard to remove her, seems he was Inexperienced. The Gillen club has turned into another animal bar where Aboriginals just drink all day and play pokies. When I left there was about 10 Abos loitering around the car park. Wake up to yourself Gillen club and have some respect, or is it just about the profits. This was a place where families could go and enjoy themselves. Now you have let the animals in and they're...
