I recalled one reviewer mentioned she/he provided a low rating when she/he even never taste the food. My rating speaks the same. My review is based on the experience we encountered when we arrived at the restaurant.
Ambient/Location [2]. There is no well lit sign of the restaurant and there was a board that says "Leasing". So did this place close down? We decided to drive in to check out.
Service [2] When we managed to find the main entrance, we step in and every of us is waiting to be greeted or show to a table. No. Nothing. We stood there, waiting and waiting. I am sure, a large group like ours are not too hard to miss right?
Finally a young man came to us, and politely say the kitchen is closing and also there isn't much good left. He added "Do you want to take away?" Ok a bit confused. If there isn't any food to cook, what are we taking away huh? Anyway, we too politely say "No thanks" and left.
What would be good is for the owner to come out and explain the situation rather then send out a young staff to talk to us. Secondly, it's barely 8pm and run out of food! The restaurant says it closed at 9:30pm.
The 3 stars is for the young staff, who bravely come towards a large group, who he might felt threaten. Customer Service is important whether there is food or not. So hope other customers won't have the same experience as...
Read moreFirst off, excellent Korean style cuisine offered here. It truly is simple. Hence the name of the business. I feel the portion can be a little more compared to the price from the dinner selection. The menu is small which aligns with being simple. Unfortunately when we were there it was cold outside and the BBQ wasn't available to try. This place requires reservation/booking due to limited dining tables/area. The seafood pancake is delicious. So good that I wished there were more of the portion. Julie loved the Kim Chi soup. She described it as comforting and with just the right amount kick of heat going down and the savoriness wasn't over powering so it's well balanced. The pork belly dish was superbly creative and simple. It was fun to eat. We will be making a VLOG here...
Read moreWhere do I start. The waitress knew nothing about the menu. Ok, perhaps she was new. She brought out one main course before we'd seen an entree. Ok, coincidence. My main was fine by the way, then the entree was delivered, and she apologised, the chef made a mistake. Oh, by the way how did you enjoy your prawn min course? "Well I could tell you, except you haven't brought it out yet". What's worse though is they have a fridge out front where they sell frozen product to the public, and we watched them take out product and five minutes later our missed meal arrives. Seriously we could have bought the product ourselves and saved about $50. Seriously, the food was great but they need to work on...
