Jump Inn Craft Beer Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Northern Territory

I must have showed up on locals only night. Everything was going good ordered food, drinks.

We scoped out our table noticed there was upstairs seating. Cool! Walked upstairs apparently its for the budget accommodation. We figured maybe we'd get a view of the town or something. Nope tree branches.

Went back down stairs in the beer garden pretty chill. Then.

One local lady walked over and sat down told us she was from Tennet Creek. Oh cool thats kinda far from here what are you doing in Alice Springs?

Spent a lot of time in NYC as a youth so was automatically on "they want something mode" figured I'd entertain the conversation maybe I'll learn something about the town.

Nope 2 minutes into the conversation "I need money for beer" I was like what happened to our genuine conversation I thought you really wanted to get to know me.

Ignored what I said continued to ask for beer money.

I said not many people carry change on them these days and unfortunately you caught me in that situation.

Really good cocktails, friendly staff, great service. Food is okay but nothing to write home about. Outdoor area is a great venue for catching up socially after work. The outdoor lighting and space for live music is a pleasant touch. Indoor area has no comfortable seating. Pool desperately needs some professional attention. Decor and furnishings has not changed in the 14 years I’ve been in town and is feeling old, outdated and worn away now. Could use a revamp, preferably without losing the chilled out vibe it...
