Gundog Espresso — Restaurant in Nyngan

Coffee to die for in a unique place. After 5 weeks working in the lovely town of Nyngan and using “The Gundog” on a daily or twice daily basis I am convinced that this is comparable to the best coffee anywhere else in Australia (a big call but one I’m prepared to stand by). Don’t believe me? Try a ristretto - a test of the barista’s skill and knowledge for sure - always nailed the smooth sweetness of this espresso delicacy so it became my heart starter for a busy day. We stopped by for brekky on the way thru. Seating is all on the street & it was a cold but sunny morning & we did warm up quickly. The coffee was very good. The smashed avo bagel was great. Added an egg. They do fried only but it wasn’t overly crisped so as a poached egg fan, it was really good. As an aside, we left something at the cafe. They found it & tried to find us…but we were quite a way away. When we realised, we contacted them & they offered to send it on home. Great coffee and yummy breakfast. The best part was when I was asking if they can accomodate for a coeliac (strictly gluten free) the bloke making coffee over heard my question and said his aunty has it and went to the kitchen and asked straight away.

This is excellent service and understanding and it was so nice having someone take the time to ask for me.

Thank you so much! 1 in 70 people have coeliac so being able to accomodate this dietary requirement is so important.
