Cha-Da Thai — Restaurant in Padbury

I ordered through Menulog. Initially the delivery time on Menulog was 30-45 mins. So I placed order thinking I would get my food roughly an hour. Ordered at 1900, they accepted my order immediately. Then the app said my food will come around 2000. So I didn’t mind that. Waited till 2010 and no food was arrived, rang them and they said it’s coming. Then 10’ later the app was saying the food was arrived and YET no food was here. I called again at 2030 and they said the same thing. Told them that the app said it was arrived and it hasn’t and the waitress was laughing?!? Asked them how long should I expect the food to come and they kept saying that it’s coming. Food didn’t arrived until 2045. The driver was their own driver and at least he said sorry. The food was okay but I really didn’t enjoy it because of all the inconvincences. Next time if you couldn’t deliver on time, pls update on the app that you can be an hour and 45’ late. Not just keep saying it’s coming. Used to love this place, but the level of service has definitely dropped in recent months! Waited almost two and a half hours for a delivery order (despite the initial wait time being 50mins), when my partner called the cha-da person just hung up. Finally had our food which tasted great! And we thought that it was unlike them... Then a couple of weeks later, we went into the restaurant and made an order (note it was not busy at all - there was only one other table in the restaurant, no takeaway orders came through), and we waited an hour and a half - the lady on the front desk initially told us it was a 15min wait - we had to remind her about our order... Ordered for the second time on menu log they were fantastic quick and polite service. I ordered Massamum beef from reading reviews. OMG it was the worst I’ve ever had. It was chewy and it came in little dog meat type portions. It had hadn’t rendered the fat didn’t come how Massamum comes the sauce was runny it went everywhere Then we’ll move onto the pad Thai a favourite of our family.
