It takes a lot for me to give a one-star review, but Masaki Japanese Restaurant managed to fail on almost every level. From food quality to service, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had. Food Quality: The food was simply unacceptable, especially at the premium prices they charge: - Microwaved Pork Curry: The pork curry was poorly prepared, with undercooked pork and a sauce that tasted like it came straight from a store-bought Vermont or Golden Curry pack. To make it worse, the dish had clearly been reheated in a microwave. - Prawn Tempura: The tempura was an utter disaster. The batter was thick, undercooked, and overwhelmed the prawns entirely, making it unappetizing. - Ramen: The ramen was laughable, resembling instant cup noodles in quantity and quality. For a Japanese restaurant, this was a major letdown. Service: The service was just as poor as the food: - The staff were clueless about the menu and could not provide any guidance on dishes. - Basic service elements were missing—water was not even provided. - There seemed to be no method or organization to the service at all, leaving us feeling neglected and frustrated. Takeaway Policy: To top it all off, the restaurant refused to allow takeaways. This policy felt unnecessarily rigid, especially considering the poor quality of the food served. Final Thoughts: Masaki Japanese Restaurant fails on every front: overpriced and poorly prepared food, subpar service, and unaccommodating policies. With so many great Japanese dining options available, there’s absolutely no reason to visit this place. Avoid it at all costs.

I visited here recently and unfortunately did not enjoy my experience. The Tonkatsu ramen was tasteless, resembling packet noodles, the boiled egg was overcooked (normally should be soft boiled) The pork portion was small and tasted reheated. The okonimiyaki was basically just a pancake with mayo and bonito flakes on it. The prawn dish, was probably the nicest, I think called bang bang prawn or something like that. These were decent. Overall the food was bland and I would not recommend and definitely wouldn't return. The waitress was polite and attentive and the place was very clean.

We went for dinner. The service was excellent. Menu cards & water were given promptly. We didn't have to wait long for our food. We had an enjoyable evening. Food was fresh, well cooked & presented. The prices were affordable & the potion sizes were adequate to fill our hungry eaters. Looks like it was a very popular Japanese restaurant. The place was full.

Misaki restaurant is our family's favourite restaurant in Perth. When my parents-in-law come from overseas to Perth, they always look forward to eating marvellous food at Misaki Restaurant. I love the Menu has lots of photos and so many options to choose✨ Food: Tempura is great!! Prawn tempura is one of my most favourite at Misaki. Prawns are fresh and tempura batter is Crunchy. If you've ever tried that tempura, because we have gone to the restaurant many times (never failed in expectations) I noticed that the chefs tempura was different from other tempura. The tempura had a nostalgic Japanese (I lived in Japan since childhood) taste to it, when I asked Chef how he made it this good, he had said he did extensive training to make them. Vegetable tempuras are great too! My mother-in-law ordered second Prawn Tempura plate after eating her own big meal last timešŸ˜‹

My sons love Chicken Katsu curry, Karaage and stealing dad's my food. I make Japanese curry at home and they say that my curry doesn't compare to Misaki restaurants curry. This restaurant is the perfect place to satisfy hungry teenage boys. Service: The staff welcome and greet us nicely as we enter the restaurant, the staff is always smiling and treat us like we are V.I.P's of the restaurant. The service is really fast and it is very comfortable to stay as they have calming music. Atmosphere: These big, and small things being combined makes an excellent place to enjoy celebrations, birthdays etc.

I completely assure you that this Japanese restaurant is mesmerising, and all the standards of one that you would expected would be reached. I hope you come to this restaurant, and decide to list this as one of the few special restaurants that...

The worst service ever. It used to be good. The food is ok, but these days if you order over the phone or order takeaway in there, be prepared to be ignored. I went in and ordered. There were three people lined up to order takeaway. Everyone in the line was not greeted and completely ignored as the staff would serve tables then disappear out the back. I stopped one after about 15 minutes of standing there being ignored and said I’d like to order takeaway. She told me I had to wait my turn but she hadn’t served anyone. We were all looking at each other is disbelief. I finally ordered. Sat in my car for 20 minutes. Went in to collect. There was a line of four confused people again, being ignored. So I went to the front to collect my order and she told me I can’t jump the queue, I had to wait at the back of the line to collect my order. It was so weird as I wasn’t jumping the queue. They don’t have a staff member on the desk at all. Last night I thought I’d give them another go. Same thing. A diner at the table said maybe you should serve the people in the line as they all walked past us again. I finally ordered. Came back 40 minutes later, went to the front to collect. She told me not to jump the line, and pointed to the stupid sign they have made up about queue jumping. I said no. I’m here to pick up. Well, they lost my order, had to reorder and wait another half an hour. It is the worst place. If you want perfect Japanese food and service got to More Rice in...
