Got takeaway on the 25th from here My partner and I were passing through on our move to Queensland I was recommended the Mongolian lamb we had the spring rolls and the Dim Sims 2 steamed two fried The dim sims were our favourite so much flavour. The Mongolian lamb however I don't think it's worth the price not sure why there was a whole cut up onion pretty much in the bottom of my container For that price it should be served with rice or noodles my partner's meal was forgotten the lady at the front counter said I never ordered it when I called back but to be honest if she wasn't on her phone she could have remembered my order. Remember those days when you were a young man (or woman) in the 70s and 80s, when you were travelling and passing thru country towns and the best place to eat was the "country town Chinese restaurant"? Well, Parkes has its Chong Hing restaurant....

It's VERY understated and unassuming, but food is very scrummy and portions generous. I had the mixed entree (spring roll, dim sim, and prawn toast). All generous, all fat and full, and the only pick I had was the prawn toast was a liiiiiiiittle bit more oily than I like. But the grand plate of Singapore noodles more than made up for any minor fault . I chugged back a half carafe of house Sauvignon Blanc, and spent less than $40 doing so.
