What a fantastic tavern. One of the best managed and greatest value bars we have visited. Terri and her partner took over this pub a few years ago and they have done an amazing job with turning it around into the popular and profitable tavern it is today. We couldn't believe it when we saw most pints are only $5 each and that is all day every day. Then to top that off, they even had Somersby cider on tap for $5 a pint as well. How good is that. So we settled in for the afternoon to drink cider and play games of pool, only to find out that the pool table is free to play too. No wonder this bar is full of happy, helpful and friendly locals. So we sat there chatting to Terri and the locals for ages and had a ball. Loved the place and will definitely be back for a feed next time as everyone says the pizzas and food are great too. A must visit if you are in the area.

It's not a visit to FNQ without a leisurely lunch at the Taverna. Normally it's calamari or pasta from the incredibly well-priced lunch special menu and the world's creamiest Panna Cotta. But no, yesterday I was hanging for a proper Sunday arvo food coma and asked for the lamb. This dish would be 4 x the $ in Syd or Melbourne, it's THAT delicious. Four perfectly tender lamb cutlets, a mountain of the butteriest, well-seasoned mash and seasonal greens that snapped with freshness. Treated ourselves to a bottle of Australia's best and least-known Shiraz from MollyDooker in the McLaren Vale. Food coma, ✅. Bellissimo!

Went for dear friends mom's birthday dinner. She had booked a room for about 12-14 pax. It was my first time here, and I've seen so many great reviews. Well, can I tell you.. was not disappointed. The warm marinated home made olives and home made artesian bread was to die for, and the spaghetti marina omg. Seafood was so fresh, spaghetti perfect 🥰. Could not fault the service. Top notch 👍. Will be back. Highly recommend if you are staying over, passing through. You won't be disappointed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Came home for a holiday and was treated an anniversary dinner with my wife from my immediate family. Food was delicious, cocktails were tasty and food portions were perfect. The young staff did an amazing job as it was a very busy night with festivities present. The only negative was in regards to the Trivia. In particular the group of teachers who don't know anything about being respectful of others and self awareness. Not a good look as young kids were in attendance aswell. Maybe potential regulations to be put in place in regard to alcohol use/limit. Pretty embarrassing from their side. Other then that the night was fantastic! Good to see the local restaurant busy and little town of Babinda...

Great bar, there are locals to have a yarn with, it's family friendly and welcoming to all. The building modern, clean, air-conditioned and has extremely cold drinks served with a smile by polite staff hand picked and trained by the Taverns owners Teri and Neil who themself are expectional host's with a "nothing's to hard" attitude. For entertainment while having a coldie there's pokies, a pool table, TV screens for sports and racing fans or there is another highlight, usually found in the bar area, this being publican/host Neil, a local larrikin who can get a Babinda Boulder to laugh. A must place visit if your in...
