Berserker Tavern — Restaurant in Queensland

Come in for dinner tonight. Was a disappointment 😞 spent around $120 just on dinner the food came reasonably quick. I had a steak sandwich with chips which were cold, bread was crunchy but steak was also cold, my sons burger came out wrong and took longer to come back then the rest of the meals when we asked how long it would be we were told by the fella that he would go check he did not. My wife had to go find out what was going and get the sauce for her plate that was missing from her meal. Only to be greeted by a cook/chef with a bad attitude, and obviously angry that they had made a mistake. My wife came back with my sons burger which was burnt on the outside and still pink in the middle. He did not eat it ! my wife had to give him chicken from her plate. So he would eat. My daughters meal came out before anything with a tiny strip of fish and a couple chips was not impressed. Overall bad experience. ! Was a shame as we were quite excited to try the new restaurant. Dinner tonight with friends in the new beer garden at the refurbished Berserker Tavern. The outside area is really nice, particularly for families with a great play area and there is quite a decent amount of seating. It was a bit cool and windy tonight with the weather but the area has big fans and nice lighting and gardens with a giant screen. You can order via QR code at the table which has images of all the meals which I really appreciate. I had the XXXX beer battered fish with chips and salad which was really nice. The batter was very crunchy and quite light. My friends had the steak and the chicken burger which looked amazing and they both enjoyed. Onion rings were great too. We shared the churro sundae for dessert which had the works; Neopolitan ice cream, strawberries, bananas, nuts, maraschino cherries, cream and of course churros. Our party of two had a 7.30pm booking on Friday night. The venue looked amazing after the renovations and the staff were friendly and attentive. Only downside was the delay in our food coming out. A shared cob loaf entree and two parmis for main meals were ordered via the app. A message informed us that there would be a one hour wait. Fair enough, the place was packed. At 9pm we chased up our entree order. We did receive the entree 15 minutes later but unfortunately it was not what we ordered. Apparently the one we wanted was no longer available. It would have been nice to have been asked if we were happy with the substitution. Our main meals were faultless having been delivered as we finished our entree. Our simple dining experience took over two hours. Prices were reasonable but more kitchen staff are definitely needed to ensure timely delivery of meals. A return visit is...
