Came here on the 9/9 and the 11/9 both times had terrible experience with the service. The first time we were told that we had to order âsomething on the menuâ being a cocktail rather than the vodka sodas we ordered because they didnât know how to put a vodka soda through the system. So we then had to pay an extra $12 for a cocktail When we wanted a $10 vodka soda. At least during this experience, the waitress was nice and friendly though Incompetent. Today on the 11/9 at 5pm, We came in for drinks, Ordered two cocktails and two vodka lime sodas (at least this time we were allowed to get the vodka lime sodasâŚ) But then only one vodka soda was made so I just said âjust waiting on The second vodka sodaâ when it wasnât made directly after the first and was met with hostility telling me I have to pay for it which I already did then confusion between the two servers trying to figure out what went wrong behind the bar and then he told me âIâll make it anywayâ. I would expect it to be made considering I paid for it?? Incredibly rude made me feel like it was my fault that they didnât make a drink and then tried to act like we never ordered it though we were all standing there with our receipts. If youâre gonna get it wrong, at least be nice about it And I wouldnât mind I understand mistakes happen, I donât understand being rude for no reason when you were in the wrong And we have been...
Read moreCame here for both lunch and dinner as we had Accor plus which made it the cheapest food on the island and after trying a few other high rated places this came out on top both times.
Dinner we tried most of the tapas offerings with our favourites being the arancini, stuffed peppers and pork belly.
Lunch service was a tad slow but we had many hours to kill waiting for the ferry so wasnât a problem. Food was well worth the wait and was a generous portion.
Cocktails were a bit watery, Iâd say itâs down to the ice theyâre using. Presentation wasnât quite there as well with my mojito having a small sad bit of mint and the spritz with no garnish at all. Either way I gave them a miss after trying one and enjoyed the wine.
Wasnât immediately obvious where the entrance was as the public facing one towards the ferry port is closed and they direct you round the back for some reason. A few of those yellow umbrellas on the boardwalk would liven up the outside but the weather wasnât the best while we were here so maybe they do in the sunnier months.
Would gladly come back here when returning to magnetic island but I hope to see them do more with their...
Read moreVery disappointed. When I booked I was told no outside tables were available only inside. We were there from opening for dinner till late and plenty of tables were available. Sailed my yacht over to have a night in the marina with my partner and dinner. Ordered an entree only to be told no tofu available as IGA had run out when they went over to get some after we ordered. Had two Salmon mains that were incredibly pricey and such small portions that couldn't have even been called entree sized. No way in the world this could ever be considered a main meal. The piece of Salmon would have been lucky to be a two inch square sitting on spoonful of mashed potatoe. Waited after the mb ain for the salad I ordered that never came. When questioned was told ...oh..must have forgotten to write it down??? The wine was expensive and small but nice. If this restaurant is trying to serve as fine dining then I feel they have missed the boat. If you are going to charge prices like this then at least make sure your customers aren't going to walk away hungry. We went back to the yacht and made a toasted sandwich which turned out...
