Poor experience. Not accomodating. Menu is not clear.
Edit 1 - Hello, thank your taking the time to respond to my review. However, unfortunately the meat in my dish wasn’t my only concern. I had also expressed to your team that there was hair in the yogurt. Which you didn’t want to address. Kind Regards
Edit 2 - Hey,
I just want to let you know. I had expressed my concerns to both the waiter (who I talked to first) and then also the supervisor about the hair in my food. Unfortunately, I cannot take blame for miscommunication between your staff members. Regardless, I had mentioned both my concerns.
You will should be aware my “original” review did not mention my food concerns either (you mentioned this with your reply). The Google review was simply me communicating my general experience of the eatery and the customer service provided. If I had known I was going to get a reply I would have definitely made sure to describe in detail all the key points of my experience.
Here is a photo of the hair (the hair was in the yoghurt and doesn’t capture the whole hair strand). I took the photo because I was genuinely excited to try the food and capture my meal as it looked good. Nonetheless, there was hair (which I noticed first) and then also was curious about the meat in the dish (hence why I asked the waiter a question regarding this … unfortunately it was beef which I could not have).
I hope we can both move forward from this. I came to your restaurant to have a good experience. Majority of the customers (including myself) come in to have a pleasant outing and enjoy their meal. They not come in to actively critic the food, especially when they just want to have a nice time. However, this was not my experience hence the...
Read moreExceptional! There is no other word to describe what we experienced at 'Everyday Lover' last night. The menu had so many great options that it was hard to decide, so we all opted for the "feed us" offering. Every single dish that came out was amazing, delicious and different. I specifically mention 'different' because after a while you get bored with seeing the same items on restaurant menus. That is not the case here - every single dish was a new taste sensation. I never once felt like "oh yeah I've had this dish a thousand times before". To top it all off, the service was impeccable. We never felt rushed, and yet we also didn't wait long between dishes. As for quantity... also amazing. After several rounds (I lost count) of fantastic food I was starting to feel full. I was then informed that the next course would be the mains... and then there was still a desert course after that. Honestly 10 out of 10. It's the kind of food and experience you would expect for a super high end restaurant in a premium (e.g. absolute beach front) location, but instead here it is...
Read moreWell, Not even open a week, and nearly every table was taken, The guys, formally from Two Blocks Cafe in Holloways Beach, have opened a Gold mine of a venue here. Everyday Lover is quickly going to be the talk of the Northern Beaches, and we'll find ourselves having to book just for coffee! Dan and the team, have set up a great venue, with very crisp lines and neutral tones. Set on the corner of the Village precinct, a lot of passing traffic gave sideway glances of interest (and envy- no doubt)! They have devided the space for diners on one half and inside, with casual coffee and take away orders on the other side. The menu for Breakfast/brunch is brief but precise... With the eclectic choices and combinations a winner from the previous incarnation and a few more new ones. Setting up and creating their name with breakfast to begin with and there are plans for Dinners at a later date apparently! A really nice touch were the dulsit music tones, being played from a retro Record...
