Lovely places surrounded by lots of natural elements, the birds will come chipping on you and find food if you are seating outdoors. The food price is pretty decent but the portion can be quite small. Some souvenir available at the shop but it's both much. Come to get a quick fill of the tummy, it's going to be tiring from the walk so some food is important.

Lovely. The area was shaded by large trees home to native birds waiting for your scraps. I had the egg and bacon burger, I enjoyed it but it seemed to be lacking something, something that makes me want to eat it again, not bad but not special either. Prices are reasonable and only a short walk to a very large play area for the little ones.

Stopped by during my walk. Had a coffee and bacon roll, was a little trouble with comms whening ordering but got there in the end. Plenty of seating just got to share with the locals of the garden. Coffee was ok price was fair. Plenty parking within the gardens.

Poor food and service. To start us off we asked if they did thickshakes and they said yes, drink was brought to us and It was clearly just a milkshake. I went back to the counter and very politely advised it was meant to be a thickshake. The young girl with very little enthusiasm or any ounce of customer service, said "I'll put another scoop in it". It was returned still as a milkshake. Our food was then also brought to the table with the same lack of enthusiasm. Parts of our order were missing and when we asked about it we were clearly an inconvenience to the young girl. The steak sandwich was bland, had no sauce and all I could taste was the bread. I actually took the steak off the bread and it was so much nicer on its own. My mother in law ordered the beef burger which was also bland and unnapealing. She ended up taking the burger meat off and replacing it with chips and ate half the bun. The entire experience was utterly disappointing considering we paid $140 for 1 steak sandwich and chips, 2 chicken burgers and chips, 15 chicken chippies, 1 large bowl of chips, 1 so called thickshake, 3 cokes and a water. I wouldn't have minded the price so much if the food was actually decent. Would not return and would not recommend anyone to go there. Incredibly...

The Gardens Tearooms are in an excellent setting, lots of birds (you will compete with them!) unless you sit inside. This is one of the charms, negotiating with a Rosella for your share of the food. Now to the reason you're reading. I've been to the Gardens Tearooms on more than one occasion and have to say the food was excellent. In fact, the chips (fries to our American cousins) are the best I've ever had in Central Queensland. Not only were they fresh and not greasy, but they were also done perfectly. A very very generous serving for AUD$4 was a meal in itself, needless to say, even though I'm on the large size, with the superb steak sandwich I ordered was far too much for one. Ratings Chips = 5/5 Steak Sandwich = 4/5 Chocolate Milkshake = 4/6 Coffee - I'm not going to rate the coffee as to me it's too milky. If you like Gloria Jeans or Starbucks then you'll probably enjoy the coffee here. Cakes/Desserts - a very good selection of homemade goodies to satisfy most.

Excellent. If you're visiting Rockhampton, make sure you visit the Botanic Gardens (there's also a free zoo) and set aside time to enjoy some of the great fare on offer. The service is friendly and efficient. All...

FIRST of all, unhigenic cafe, there were literal birds flying inside. SECOND of all, i ordered a chai latte which practically tasted like artificial milk and it had CHUNKS of chai power in it. NOT ONLY THAT…. oh yes it gets worse… there was an INSECT in the ice cube. THIRDLY, i also ordered a caramel chocolate slice, which was WAY overpriced and probably is worth a days work. I also originally thought caramel slice couldn’t be ruined… turns out i was WRONG. The guy also also overfilled my cup and there was milk on top and when i picked it up it spilt everywhere on my nice top. FOURTHLY, My friend ordered the brownie, and took a little bite then threw it to the birds, where it belongs. The workers were also not enthusiastic and friendly at all and dropped the tongs on the DIRTY floor. Overall TERRIBLE experience, horrendous drinks and service. wouldn’t recommend to anyone unless they want their day RUINED.

Sincerely, your...
