A horrible experience in the restaurant ! |1. Kids fish and chips was what appeared to be a battered fish finger and 12 chips !|2. Parmigiana was dried out with little sauce - salad was limp and bordering disgusting.|3. Selected the Woodfired Pizza whilst at the counter ordering as the one being removed from pizza oven looked delicious. 10mins after the meals arrived ( others at our table ) i had to ask where my pizza was - As the waitress finally sat placed the pizza on the table it clearly came from a conventional oven ! When i asked if she could confirm such she returned with a Yes - normal oven cooking as we are far too busy to use Woodfired Oven - in which one was removed 40 minutes earlier ! Too not be given a choice to change my meal was somewhat disappointing however the snickering and laughing by the staff was really the unnecessary and sour point to the whole experience. I think i would have chosen just to receive my money back rather than run the risk of getting a new meal - Nil confidence in getting something that i could trust was cooked with good intentions !|There were 12 people in the restaurant and probably 20plus in the sports bar. Clearly the staff are incompetent to manage reasonable patrons in numbers and if their personal hygiene is anything to go by any wonder patrons aren't subject to illness or cross contamination - felt sorry for the young waitress who now is subject to unethical antics of a bad...
Read moreFood was fine, but I had some gripes. it isn't obvious that the restaurant opens at 6, even though patrons are welcome to sit down. this would be fine, if the staff weren't still moving tables and taking bookings 20 minutes before opening. The staff in general were fairly unhelpful, often bumbling about and telling patrons how sorry they are that they're entirely booked out in what one staff member said was " 3 bookings, and suddenly there were many more". there was also an extremely limited selection of nonalcoholic beverages that weren't coffee or tea. even to get a lemon-lime and bitters required moving into a separate bar to have them prepared, and taking them to your table yourself, which happened in the case of a few ladies who had their tables taken by other people who were told to leave...
Read moreHubby and I were holidaying in Emu Park and wanted somewhere nice to go for Christmas lunch. As it was last minute the only place we could find was the Glenmore Tavern at $125 pp. We were ok with this. Upon arrival we were disappointed to see a crappy looking tavern bistro with no real decorations nor any atmosphere. ||The food was tasteless, boring and seemed to be packet quality. Frozen fish, watery prawns, baked ham that was warm in parts and fridge cold next bite. Salads similar to that you get from Woolies deli. ||The "pavlova" dessert was mini meringues with strawberry syrup poured over the top. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. ||||We would have been better off going to woolies and getting a cooked chook, 250g of ham and a tub of coleslaw. The cost would have been...
