Cafe Lé ma — Restaurant in Queensland

Popped in based on the reviews but was sadly disappointed. Beside the 20 minute wait for a take away coffee - it was the worst cafe mocha I've had in Rockhampton. It was clearly rushed because it tasted like just milk mixed with a little of something that wasn't a combination of coffee and chocolate.

The thing is - I wasn't expecting the mocha to taste like one from the Kozy Bosquet in Paris, but I look forward to a mocha every morning and by 10am on this day I was still so tired and deflated - so while my tastebuds could have been off for the day - I surely didn't get my caffeine fix either from the mocha ( Your Physiology doesn't lie). This meant that it was just not a good mocha I get every other day, elsewhere.

I looked at the reviews again to see if this was in isolation only to find that the owner gets highly defensive and justifies why service was suboptimal.

I also then began to see the same issues other reviewers had previously mentioned; the rudeness, apathy of staff, rushed service and the dinginess of the area to the right and back of the service desk, etc.

Owner, use these as opportunities to proactively see and solve problems instead of justifying them. Staff will remain rude and apathetic if you don't encourage them to be different, it's human nature....

After attending the cremation of our family member across the road, our family came over to get coffee and calm down after the service. We had a booking and were told no one had the booking. They complained and told us that they did not have space couldn’t make it work. One lady offered us to sit in two long tables so we began moving them together and then were yelled at for moving tables. I believe then the man came out and said we can make it work all good. The women continued to moan about us. When we were seated I went in to order and the woman behind the counter was saying “we don’t have any room now these people are here”. We have just come from a funeral. This is disgusting service and I hope you improve for future considering you are opposite a crematorium and should show some level of professionalism and complain privately not to the...

We stayed overnight in a rest stop near by with no dinner. Needless to say we woke hungery. Cafe Le ma was open early, we decided to give it a go.

The eggs benedict was delicious. The basic breakfast sausage + bacon ok The poached egg & scrambled not so good The gluten free bread toasted dry & hard

DRINKS Flat white with caramel x 2 Both were lukewarm on arrival - hot is best Hot choclate - good

IMPROVEMENTS Hot coffee not lukewarm thanks Cutlery should arrive at the table before the meal. A smile in a hospitality business goes a long way. When asked a question, its always best to hold your head up and speak clearly. No one understands mumbling...
